Moyes admits desire to manage in Germany

What was the score against Chelsea nige?

See I dont see this with Martinez- if ever a manager would be a risk it would be him. He works on a budget not too disimlar to Moyes and yet we have a team in the top 5 and they have a team in the bottom 3.

Yes they can play nice stuff and yes he seems to be able to pick a player or two but the league never lies and season after season they struggle.

If Moyes left and we took on Martinez I think it would be a huge risk, it might pay off but playing nice football and getting the odd decent player doesnt get you further than where we are now.

If Moyes keeps this squad together or even replaces real quality leaving with real quality coming in and next season we struggle or achieve very little in the way of cups and Europe I may be swayed but at the moment we have a very pleasing squad playing at times some of the most impressive football in the league and I want to see what he can achieve with this current crop.

I have gone full circle about a keeper, I was a big fan of Howard but he isnt looking confident at all. I really hope we get a couple in January with none leaving- a keeper and a striker is my preference with maybe another body in the middle too.

I don't disagree it would be a huge gamble but there's the rub do we stick with what we know we'll get with Moyes, already this season the league cup has gone exactly the same way as previous years and for all the bluster about liverpool being ****e we still didn't win again.

As I said in another reply a lot depends on what sort of person you are, myself I've always gone for stuff so the idea of same old same old does me in.

I love Moist. I really do. But if i have to think **** after him...I really havent clue who could bring this boat to harbour...MARTINEZ is in everybodys lips cause he is latino'looky and likes to keep Wigan out of **** but..i dont know..

Do you think you're better than me because you want more for the club than moyes?! I want better for the club but I don't think there is a manager out there that we could get who could operate under the same constraints and still get us competing at the right end of the league.

Realistically you'd have to be looking at someone like Steve Lomas or Dougie Freedman. Been there, done it, know what's required to survive and compete at this level.

I for one, regardless of his short comings, be made up for DM to lift a trophy for us.

More so than any other previous EVERTON manager.

And i,ve been here since Harry Catterick FFS!!!

From tomorrow's Telegraph:

Fellaini has apologised for his behaviour, but David Moyes remained upset with the talismanic playmaker. The Everton manager suggested Fellaini’s absence could expose the lack of depth to his squad. “People shouldn’t be surprised if we aren't able to solve it...â€￾

Moyes is playing our board like a fiddle at the moment. First the Germany stuff, now this.

Classic 'Give me what I want' contract negotiating. Fair play to him, don't blame him in the slightest for it. He holds all the cards, and he might be 'Mr Well Respected', but it doesn't mean he doesn't know all the tricks.

if it's to get them to shell out more funds to spend on the team then i'm all for it. If it's just for him to get a better wage but to continue plodding along with a £1m transfer kitty every season then it's poor.

Tbh, i could be reading him wrong but he seems to me to be using his contract to squeeze as much as he can from the board. Can't say whether it works until feb 1st.
