Moyes admits desire to manage in Germany

I agree.. on one hand I have to be realistic as well as optimistic... on the other I hate arguing that Moyes has had no money as if its the only reason we are not world beaters... when reality is that is 99% the case..
Fortunately there are some clubs that have squeezed in a cup win over the time and they have inferior squads to us so hope is not lost mate, its not as open and shut as bottling as some will have you believe but it has been the case with Moyes on a few occasions.
This year does feel different somehow as we have pace which is new and I honestly believe that with a trip to 4th spot and a little luck that 4th is a CL position, we could get into the group stages and come out with enough money out of it to give Moyes a Fellaini level signing.. think of our midfield with Fellaini, Gibson, Mirallas, Pienaar and another Felli level player we have never heard of but who is quality.
When it comes to signings... IMIT.
Fellaini 2 instead of Neville anyone?

As good as 4th is, there's no trophy for it though. I know it could set us up for the future, but it might not, look at Spurs, they haven't progressed as a club since making CL.
We will see though!

You were wrong actually fella.. Also wtf was he doing?.. your right what he should of done is.. in his first year bought Lescott for 5mil and sold him for 24 so we could buy Heittinga, Billy and Distin, sold Billy and bought Mirallas whilst also gaining 10 years of top flight revenue.. at the same time as this (this may be a busy window by the way) brought Rodwell through the ranks and sold him for sufficient funds to buy Gib.. ah forget it I could finish this whole rant and you'll still be confused as to why we didn't have the squad we have now 10 years ago.. despite most of them not even being pro footballers and those that were would of been at their peak costs..
WTF he has been doing is changing the direction of our club at the pedestrian pace handed to us by a board that has no interest in giving him money.

This re-writing of Benitez and the small club jibe is a cracker, I'll go with it though because rewriting history is always interesting.

You're right not to open the can of worms on Moyes transfer policy we wouldn't want the myth being exposed would we? Holding onto Bily to warm the bench forever was a storming idea just think what we could have done with the money or even ..... hang on I'm going out on a limb here!!! what if he didn't spunk the money in the first place or lose millions on Yak or van der Meyde.

Mate if you're satisfied with 10 yrs of winning fck all that's your biz, one things for sure you're not alone.

Being optimistic isn't the same as expectation btw, but I'm sure you knew that. It's always interesting how our complete history is ignored in these debates - almost like it's a source of shame - fck it eh! it only formed the basis of who we are.

Who said they were satisfied with not winning a cup? I havn't read a single post since I started using forums I don't think from anyone who has said that they are...
But just to be clear:
We have a divine right to win the league because we won it decades ago? Is that what you think?
That if we expect a cup we'll get one?
That money is irrelevant?
That the reason we are where we are is because the fans are apathetic?
That Moyes should of won league or cup silverware because we are Everton despite the hundreds of millions of pounds splashed here there and everywhere.. not including our club?
Because our Moto is NSNO we should be the best?
If you agree with any of that, you are not a better fan than me.. your a fking idiot with no grasp of the present and a wish to remain securely wedged in a history that is no longer current.. hence the name history.
Things changed with Sky and the premier league.. money became king and we don't have any.. we are improving, sad for you that you can't see it but I'll cross my fingers for you that Dixie D pops one in against the Hammers tomorrow.. In the meantime I'll also hope that Jelavic scores in our timeline.
Oh if you know your history is not the same as burying your head in the sand and pretending the conditions surrounding the present don't exist.

Attacking Moyes on his transfer policy, its either brave or next level stupid.

Which is it?

I know, lets do this, name players that Moyes bought that turned out to be utter tosh.

Does it help your argument in any way? In order to get people on side and actually change people's perceptions, you need to appeal to them rather than berate and insult them.

Mate you never change peoples opinions over Moyes, it's been over 10 yrs all you can do is engage in debate state your point of view and enjoy the banter, of which don't you think you're over reacting here? berate? tad sanctimonious all things considered.

no offence like.

Per Kroldrup.
Van der Meyde.
Beckford.

Those do for starters?

Not really.

Koldrup was tosh, you may have him.
Van der Meyde wasnt a bad player, he just make some wrong decisions and turned mental.
Beckford, 10 goals, in his first Season, including a great solo goal vs Chelsea, no, cant have him.

Shall I do the other list?
