This re-writing of Benitez and the small club jibe is a cracker, I'll go with it though because rewriting history is always interesting.

You're right not to open the can of worms on Moyes transfer policy we wouldn't want the myth being exposed would we? Holding onto Bily to warm the bench forever was a storming idea just think what we could have done with the money or even ..... hang on I'm going out on a limb here!!! what if he didn't spunk the money in the first place or lose millions on Yak or van der Meyde.

"ah forget it I could finish this whole rant and you'll still be confused as to why we didn't have the squad we have now 10 years ago"

I'm sorry what re-write? He did call it a small club, I said we were no longer a big club.. I stand by that

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ght-to-call-everton-a-small-club-2363821.html

But I'll give you this one, Moyes is massively ****e with transfers and if it wasn't for the hundreds of millions of pounds the board gave him to throw away we would be in real trouble and probably relegated by now. TFF Bill is all I can say.

I can feel my brain cells actually packing up and going on holiday the more I communicate with you.

Mate you never change peoples opinions over Moyes, it's been over 10 yrs all you can do is engage in debate state your point of view and enjoy the banter, of which don't you think you're over reacting here? berate? tad sanctimonious all things considered.

no offence like.
Not particularly sanctimonious i don't think. Just a bit fed up of threads going down the toilet when people seem to want to argue the toss from their respective trenches. Also not a huge fan of watching fellow blues insulting each other to get a well worn point across. The atmosphere on here seems to be a bit angry of late.

Attacking Moyes on his transfer policy, its either brave or next level stupid.

Which is it?

I know, lets do this, name players that Moyes bought that turned out to be utter tosh.

James Beattie
Simon Davies
Per Kroldrup
Van der Meyde
Bilyaletdinov
Wright
Li Tie
Kilbane
McFadden
Neville

Rubbish buys after going through the list of transfers Moyes has been a part of:

Koldrup, Bily, Van der Meyde, Richard Wright, Gueye.

Not exactly a massive list. Take a look at Ferguson's hit and miss list.

Lescott.. plus whatever was returned for the poor player

That's covered most of the cost of the bad signing lists

Everyone else... positive column

Mirallas
Pienaar
Gibson
Jelavic
Beckford
Distin
Heitinga
Saha
Fellaini
Baines
Jagielka
Lescott
Johnson
Neville
Arteta
Cahill

All for the combined cost of about one transfer window of Man City transfers. No chance you'll name another premier league manager with so much consistency, particularly at the low end of the market.

He's spent a lot on £2M and less punts on young players too though and most haven't worked out. It's the almost forgotten side of Moyes' transfer record.

Overall though, he's been very astute.

We have a divine right to win the league because we won it decades ago? Is that what you think?

Divine right doesn't come into it but not curling up and dieing at certain grounds in certain games does. Can you honestly say we haven't done that under Moyes?

That if we expect a cup we'll get one?

It might help if he didn't fck up team selection trying to be Wenger or Fergie, we can only win 2 things yet in both competitions he fcks up - madness

That money is irrelevant?

City have nailed that for long term competitions like the league but the cups throughout here and europe are littered with examples of the monied being defeated - why not us, why not in the cups

That the reason we are where we are is because the fans are apathetic?

It contributes.

. your a fking idiot with no grasp of the present.

It was only a matter of time ... well done

Hope you don't mind i've edited your stuff to save time.

Joseph Yobo
Marcus Bent
Nigel Martyn
Kevin Kilbane
Phil Neville
Mikel Arteta
John Ruddy
Tim Cahill
Tim Howard
Joleon Lescott
Andrew Johnson
Alan Stubbs
Nuno Valente
Ayegbeni Yakubu
Leighton Baines
Steven Pienaar
Phil Jagielka
Seamus Coleman
Marouane Fellaini
Lucas Neill
Jermaine Beckford
John Heitinga
Sylvain Distin
Darron Gibson
Nikica Jelavic
Kevin Mirallas
Bryan Oviedo

So we can compare lists.
