Why is he talking to jim white over us?

He is like a carbon copy of kenwright.. all talk all lies

Horrendous

They had a follow up discussion this morning. Didnt hear all of it cos I as popping in and out of the van, but White, and one of his co horts, (ignored Dean Saunders cos hes a bell), surmised that the way Moshiri is going about things is "A game changer, not just at Everton, but perhaps a blueprint that future takeovers, (yeah, I know) will adopt"

Para phrased.

@The Esk

  • You'll see how debt free we are when the AGM comes around
  • The money was there in the summer ONLY after Stones was sold
  • The stadium is still a distant dream and certainly less advanced than a couple of schemes that we had underway when Kenwright was calling the shots.
Let's deal in facts shall we rather than spin.
I'm sure you're a red at times

That's not what I've said. I've said a few times in this thread alone that the difference between the two is that one has credibility where stadium buildings are concerned and the other are a busted flush.

But on the substance of a plan to get us to a built stadium and financially competing - that is completely correct also. Player sales + tv cash without any boost of the commercial arm of the club revenue generating machine until we get a new stadium = status quo for the next few years at least. That was the real story from yesterday's Moshiri interview: the notice served to us all that squad improvement would rely on commercial improvement on the back of a brand new stadium being financially exploited.

Errrm....

Maybe I'm being naive, but I'd have thought that the beauty of having a billionaire businessman in control would be that he'd be able to make sure the commercial revenue of this club was being boosted dramatically in the meantime so that the club's squad investment wouldn't be hindered by FFP rules. Listening to Moshiri yesterday though it's clear that commercial transformation will only take place post-stadium build.

I see no tangible difference therefore between this regime and the last.

It's amazing how little so many managers and owners know about business and football compared to the average person on here. They are some lucky so and so''s getting where they are with that level of ignorance.
Makes me frustrated and jealous.
If there was money to be made from expertise in being blagged by Bill Kenwright, I would be a far, far richer man than Farhad Moshiri.

Amusing how much moaning there was they we were hearing nothing, the club were saying nothing then when there is some public words from Moshiri, people are still moaning, did you really expect him to tell Jim White everything that is going on? Come on be realistic.

Whys that?

That was probably a bit too strong of a claim on my part TBH lol

To me he just sounded less credible than I'd thought he was. A lot of exaggeration and hyperbole, references to Kenwright being the biggest blue in the world. Probably reading too much into it though

Errrm....

The difference is that Moshiri's regime has credibility around stadium affairs as opposed to the busted flush of a Kenwright regime. How is that anything tangible or significant if we haven't actualised that into a stadium build?

There's no contradiction.

*sigh*

That bit, to us, as fans, was a bit ott. But, in the circles Moshiri moves, Bill as a club owner probably stood out a mile in terms of his love of the club, and all that, than most other PL owners he knows.

Is it just me who finds our owner being bezzy mates with a lego head like Jim White weird?

The whole Jim White being so well connected thing is a mystery to me. He must be either a million miles away from the cretinous idiot I listen to on TS in real life, or the accepted face of Sky to the club owners. Like you want our Billions, then lob White a bone.
