Moshiri on Jim White show on TalkSport today....

Regardless of what happened to the money once he'd put it in, I believe that he said 'he' for the times prior to becoming a shareholder in the club, and 'we' for the times after that.

Yeah the debt would have been paid off by the club as a whole, probably using the bumper tv money etc, some seem to think though that Moshiri just pulled it out his own arse pocket and paid it.

Why was usmanov there ?

Right, why was the majority owner's best buddy (who is heavily invested in Chelsea's great rival Arsenal) in attendance at the biggest London-based game that day?

If he comes up for the home game against Burnley, then by all means lads, let's get all our ears 'pr!cking up' (lol). But this has to be the most ridiculous link we've seen so far.

Here is the thing though mate, did he promise a new stadium - especially one on the docks - no
Did he promise any particular amount for the manger to invest or talk in anythign but the most abstract of jargon - no

IF we ended up mving to st9necross for example then theres not a single thing in that interview that could be used against him as a lie
If we ended up selling Lukaku or any pothe rplayer and not reinvesting it - then theres no lies he has said

Basically it was a 15min interview where he gave no specifics - just a fair few soundbites, and excuses - oh yeah there was a good few of those especially about why we didnt spend anything over what we sold this summer, crazy market, players fell through at the last minute due to the sellign club, due to us being gazzumped by another team, and due to a player choosing another team at the last minute. We sold a player becuase OFM gave him his word he could leave this summer - but the next sentence he goes on about he wouldnt have sold him unless Koeman gave him the ok to do so, so which is true, he was honouring a promise from Martinez or in fact that promise didnt matter if Komean wanted him to stay?

Which version of McCarhty/Sissok is actually true, as both can't as they directly contradict each ther, we pulled out or the player chose Spurs, becuase in the last 3 months he has said a different version of what happened?

Loved the throwing in (pre-arranged 100%) about Usmanov being with him when White met him on Saturday, that alone will get countless blues holding nto the hope Usmanov is incoming

And yeah Moshiri - 100% gets Evertonians, just a shame that he decided to give an interview to a station owned effectively by the Sun.

While I respect your opinion and don't actually disagree (well, not entirely anyway), he's never made any promises - which is why the cries of 'broken promises' and using a bloody season ticket slogan to hammer him with is one of the most pathetic things I've seen from our fans.

Actions speak louder than words. The squad is - according to Moshiri - in the hands of Koeman, and it is his job to back the manager.

So let's see what January brings. If Koeman wants three players, we should be in the position to go and get them. But, I have to stress, WE (as fans) don't know what Koeman wants.

In fairness Dave he gave the outline of a plan. Repay debt, build a new stadium and increase commercial revenues, and build a new team with Koeman as the leader that is capable of challenging for Europe.

He only had so much time allowed during the interview during which he wanted to cover off a large number of issues, including telling us all how what a great Evertonian cuddly Bill is, but apart from that I was generally satisfied with what he had to say. He never meant it as a platform to announce the stadium plans and probably isn't in a position to do so yet anyway. Same goes for increasing commercial revenue. For the moment we'll just have to content ourselves with his verbal commitment to making it happen.

At the end of the day mate, there are 3 ways you can react to that inter view and it's contents. You can believe what he is saying and look forward to him putting his words into action. You can hear what he's saying, but not believe it until you see some evidence. Or you can take the stance that his words are hollow and he is basically lying about everything.
The only way to take his words is by highlighting substance rather than froth. On that score the securitization deal being squared off is the guts of it. Yes, that informs us that a path to a new stadium is being prepared, but didn't we know that was the intent anyway?

It was, for the most part, him doing what very rich people who own a toy do: show it off and bask in the reflected glory.

We'll soon see.

Big coincidence it comes during the peak of a bad spell for the club, though.

Well again, it's only a 'big coincidence' if your so self-absorbed to believe everything's a conspiracy pal.

What about the one at the end of the transfer window when we were in fourth? Was that planned as well?

*applauds*

Which would neccesitate the spending of ACTUAL money, there may lay the problem mate

I sat in a Ferrari once - couldn't afford to buy it, but the owner of it wasnt to know that

It may well be the issue.

Equally so it could well have gone down exactly as he said.

Bill says 'We almost got Moutinho' - everyone rightly laughs.

Peter Johnson says 'We almost got Shearer' everyone rightly laughs.

Walter Moshri says 'We were quoted £60m for Koulibaly' and genuinely there are people saying 'see, we clearly tried / ambition / confirms the rumours' etc.

Here's another one for you. We wanted seven players. Anyone know why the spending stopped just as it reached, er, the amount Stones was sold for?

'The boy was determined to go' - Kenwright 2004, Moshiri 2016. And what a twelve years it has been....

I can't listen to it in work. I am disappointed that he chose to do it on talkSPORT because they're wham at the best of times and now they're News International.

Good of Bobby Martinez to sell Stones before he left.

Absolutely spot-on. Hopefully the verbal viagra everyone tuned in for at 12 is starting to go to at least a sensible half-mast by now...
