This place lol

"Why isn't Moshiri telling us things? He should be updating the fans, we have a right to know what's going on"

"Why is Moshiri on Talksport? This is not the specific medium upon which I wish to be updated"

"Why is Moshiri saying things to the fans? He should be out there building a stadium by now rather than telling us what might be happening"
It's pie in the sky / jam tomorrow stuff. There's no plan there.

If he'd said what sort of stadium he was interested in or how the commercial side will grow then it might be classed as information. Apparently, given he had nothing to say on the commercial side, it's the famous Elstone "facility led recovery" we're looking at...in other words, he'll do no real reconstructing of that side and just rely on a new stadium in the dim and distant future to increase revenue and thereby spending from.

The full interview can be heard here:

Thanks for that Esk.

You get the impression that Mosh has been logging on to GOT as a lot on here have been asking for some sort of statement rather than just the silence that has been coming out of GP. I'm not sure I would have chosen Jim White and Talksport as the avenue of communication but I guess he has to do it somewhere and the important thing is that it has now been done.

Obviously it was extremely contrived, and I think White & Mosh must have spent part of Saturday discussing the agenda rather than watching the match, and who can blame him for that. But he did cover a lot of area's and I know that a lot of Evertonians will be much happier after the interview than they were before.

At the end of the day they are just words, and I'm sure the many doubters on here will cling to that as they continue to disbelieve anything until they see physical evidence. I sometimes think some of them would actually prefer things not to happen so they can say "told you so". My view is he would be foolish in the extreme to lie on live radio, especially on so many topics that are so important to the fans, and I don't believe for one moment that he is, indeed, foolish.

What do you think prompted the interview Esk.? Was it coincidence following an impromptu meeting with white at the game on Saturday, or that he felt he needed to be heard following the debacle at the weekend. I think it's the latter myself.

Someone had it bang on above earlier mate: trounced at the weekend > natives getting restless > trundle out another Jim White communique.

As you say: he sounds like a 'no flies on me' type of feller.

The substantial part of the interview was on debt repayment. I noticed he accepted he'd 'invested' £80M into the club (his shares), but with the repayment of the securitization debt the word was 'we'. That cash wont be coming from him, and if it is it'll be paid back in the near future.

I heard nothing there that persuaded me that a stadium deal was imminent or that our days of selling top players are over.

TBF Dave, another way of lookin at it is that 'he' invested £80m when he bought the shares because he was acting alone, now he is a part of the club that has paid off the debts. The fact that he refers to it as 'we' should, or at least could, be seen as a positive.

He said we will "get a stadium that rewards loyalty"

Will we get like a points card or something? That we can cash in for Chang or Scouse pies?

Not looking good Dave. It seems clear now the " insider gang" have a new mouthpiece but the same playbook which means they will be pulling the wool over the fans eyes for years to come till they flip the club.

I read a great post from another blue on TPF I think it sums up Everton for the last 21 years.

"spoke to somebody who had gone from Everton to United- they said it was a different world- at United it was 'what can we do to make us become and remain the best in the world' at everton it was 'what can we do with the budget we have'.

that is a massive difference both in terms of finance and attitude"
That interview was utterly depressing. Someone placing themselves at the epicentre of all good things and pointing the finger at others in terms of tough decisions that may go wrong in the future. And how he's got the brass neck to defend that summer inactivity I dont know.

This feller's game is to minimize as much cash invested in the squad ("Koeman told me a player like that would be too expensive"...yeah right...dog whistle in place though for the transfer windows) and to get a stadium of some description built and then, as you say, he's selling.

Just listened to the interview.

Comes across sound.

As said, actions do speak louder than words, so we'll see what January brings, though I'm reassured in that the squad is all in Koeman's hands.

I'm similar to others now in the sense that I try not to get too hyped by things these days and just go with the flow in regards to this stuff

I have hopes that Moshiri is going to get us where we need to be, and until I see tangible proof one way or the other, I'm not going to get hyped for him doing an interview nor am I going to put the boot in

Let's see where we are in the next few months

The new ground will ultimately be his legacy if he's able to pull it off, be that good or bad
