TBF Dave, another way of lookin at it is that 'he' invested £80m when he bought the shares because he was acting alone, now he is a part of the club that has paid off the debts. The fact that he refers to it as 'we' should, or at least could, be seen as a positive.

Wouldn't that £80m just have gone to the people who's shares he bought, so not directly into the club, unless those shareholders, BK etc invested the money back into the club?

So we almost got Koulibally and Gabbiadini. Also I see he said we nearly got Lucas Perez before Arsenal snatched him.

We need to turn those nearly's into actual signings.

Yep. And for all the stick he got, looks like @The Esk was right all along.

I'd love to see his detractors and those who constantly tried to oust him at least offer an apology. We've literally had that information straight from the horses mouth now.

However, the main point is Grouch - as you rightly said - turning those nearlys into signings.

That being said, as Moshiri commented, it's not like any of them have set the world alight (bar Koulibaly).

That's overly optimistic, imo. I doubt his biggest supporters will expect him to be forking out cash from his own account...he'll imply it though.

I thought he came across well to be honest.

The 'monopoly money' comment was interesting. Am I misinterpreting or does that basically mean that money is no object to us now?

I think it was just a comment on how mad the fees are mate.

We sold Stones for £47.5m, but Napoli weren't accepting £60mil (from us or Chelsea, as Moshiri said) for Koulibaly.

Regardless of what happened to the money once he'd put it in, I believe that he said 'he' for the times prior to becoming a shareholder in the club, and 'we' for the times after that.

is FFP still a thing? how much can we spend in a window or season net with our income and commercial deals? Does this mean we have to keep selling players to spend a fair amount?

Classic Everton PR Spin after bad defeat this.

I'll wait for actions before I cast judgment

Yes, I absolutely demand action must be taken on:-
a) sacking a useless manager
b) getting in a decent manager with an excellent reputation
c) giving him funds to spend in the transfer market (even if a lot might go unspent)
d) appointing a Director of Football
e) paying off debts
f) pushing really hard for a brand new stadium, allowing us to grow the club and compete for better players, while complying with Financial Fair Play rules

.......and all of this in just 9 months!
