and?
It's not exactly loads is it...
and?
is FFP still a thing? how much can we spend in a window or season net with our income and commercial deals? Does this mean we have to keep selling players to spend a fair amount?

Sitting in Earl/Green's bank account and a Kenwright's. It's not going on a boss playmaker and a top GK that's for sure!Wouldn't that £80m just have gone to the people who's shares he bought, so not directly into the club, unless those shareholders, BK etc invested the money back into the club?
I said on Saturday after we got thumped that we'd hear a snippet about a stadium to try and distract us from the obvious underinvestment in the transfer window.
Right on cue.
Until he actually does something of significance e.g. gets a spade in the ground of the docks, this is all propaganda we have heard for countless years.
oh...okIt's not exactly loads is it...
In fairness Dave he gave the outline of a plan. Repay debt, build a new stadium and increase commercial revenues, and build a new team with Koeman as the leader that is capable of challenging for Europe. It's pie in the sky / jam tomorrow stuff. There's no plan there.
If he'd said what sort of stadium he was interested in or how the commercial side will grow then it might be classed as information. Apparently, given he had nothing to say on the commercial side, it's the famous Elstone "facility led recovery" we're looking at...in other words, he'll do no real reconstructing of that side and just rely on a new stadium in the dim and distant future to increase revenue and thereby spending from.
Moshiri referred to this in depth so clearly it is a big issue for us. Essentially, we grow the club by moving to a big stadium to grow the income.

It's not. He's in charge and he's using the word to suggest he (mostly as the largest shareholder) and other sitting directors with large share holdings are responsible for paying off a debt of that magnitude. That's the exact opposite of what he's just done and what you tried to call him out for. Stick to a story Dave.
Yes, I absolutely demand action must be taken on:-
a) sacking a useless manager
b) getting in a decent manager with an excellent reputation
c) giving him funds to spend in the transfer market (even if a lot might go unspent)
d) appointing a Director of Football
e) paying off debts
f) pushing really hard for a brand new stadium, allowing us to grow the club and compete for better players, while complying with Financial Fair Play rules
Why was usmanov there ?I did wonder that too.
Thanks for that Esk.
You get the impression that Mosh has been logging on to GOT as a lot on here have been asking for some sort of statement rather than just the silence that has been coming out of GP. I'm not sure I would have chosen Jim White and Talksport as the avenue of communication but I guess he has to do it somewhere and the important thing is that it has now been done.
Obviously it was extremely contrived, and I think White & Mosh must have spent part of Saturday discussing the agenda rather than watching the match, and who can blame him for that. But he did cover a lot of area's and I know that a lot of Evertonians will be much happier after the interview than they were before.
At the end of the day they are just words, and I'm sure the many doubters on here will cling to that as they continue to disbelieve anything until they see physical evidence. I sometimes think some of them would actually prefer things not to happen so they can say "told you so". My view is he would be foolish in the extreme to lie on live radio, especially on so many topics that are so important to the fans, and I don't believe for one moment that he is, indeed, foolish.
What do you think prompted the interview Esk.? Was it coincidence following an impromptu meeting with white at the game on Saturday, or that he felt he needed to be heard following the debacle at the weekend. I think it's the latter myself.
We'll soon see.Well, yes, but this was a bit more than a snippet tbh.
And let's see. Things take time. He's been here 9 months. The debt is paid, overall the club is in a better position (on and off the pitch) now than it was then.
hopefully in a few months the 'spade in the ground' will be a reality.
