Well again, it's only a 'big coincidence' if your so self-absorbed to believe everything's a conspiracy pal.

What about the one at the end of the transfer window when we were in fourth? Was that planned as well?
It is having experience as an Everton fan.

I won't bother to address your other point, Hull were 2nd after two games. Look where underinvestment has them now.

thanks! the £7m limit on wage increases is a big barrier! change is going to be slow, but a lot quicker than we've been used to! there will have to be sales of big wage players in the next 18 months at least I reckon. if we are in for £30/40m players their wages could be at least an additional £7m a season alone. Glad that Moshiri is on the ball. I trust him. Stadium is more than a pipe dream now and he will want to increase our income in as many ways as possible asap.

Anyone know why the spending stopped just as it reached, er, the amount Stones was sold for?

exactly this. For all those who still believe we lost out on all these boss players and almost signed x,y and z.

Funny how the only time we were active in the market was when stones was leaving us. Then when as @orly puts it, we hit the stones money, we suddenly stopped again.

And yeah Moshiri - 100% gets Evertonians, just a shame that he decided to give an interview to a station owned effectively by the Sun.

lol

Giving an interview to a radio station owned by a company which is owned by the company which owns The Sun, how outrageous.

Loads of people on here listen to Talksport, I don't as I think it's tosh, but to use that as a stick to beat Moshiri with is absurd. They are not effectively owned by the Sun.

Honestly Ash, this lad could wave his bank statement while telling some on here the sky is purple and he was going to build them a Xanadu made of cheese just for them and they'd lap it up.

Usmanov went to the football with him this weekend and everyone's seeing conspiracy. Mental.

Mate newscorp own them both, you honestly think there isn't now and going forward going to be a much closer working relationship between the two, say what you like, but rather not see our owner cherry pick those to give his interview too, especially as they both really aim at the exact same demographic in regards to sports reporting.

But yeah, Moshiri gets us, he's basically an Evertonian now mate in his own words, sorry but it's flannel desinged to be lapped up by a guillable in part fan base

Here is the thing though mate, did he promise a new stadium - especially one on the docks - no
Did he promise any particular amount for the manger to invest or talk in anythign but the most abstract of jargon - no

IF we ended up mving to st9necross for example then theres not a single thing in that interview that could be used against him as a lie
If we ended up selling Lukaku or any pothe rplayer and not reinvesting it - then theres no lies he has said

Basically it was a 15min interview where he gave no specifics - just a fair few soundbites, and excuses - oh yeah there was a good few of those especially about why we didnt spend anything over what we sold this summer, crazy market, players fell through at the last minute due to the sellign club, due to us being gazzumped by another team, and due to a player choosing another team at the last minute. We sold a player becuase OFM gave him his word he could leave this summer - but the next sentence he goes on about he wouldnt have sold him unless Koeman gave him the ok to do so, so which is true, he was honouring a promise from Martinez or in fact that promise didnt matter if Komean wanted him to stay?

Which version of McCarhty/Sissok is actually true, as both can't as they directly contradict each ther, we pulled out or the player chose Spurs, becuase in the last 3 months he has said a different version of what happened?

Loved the throwing in (pre-arranged 100%) about Usmanov being with him when White met him on Saturday, that alone will get countless blues holding nto the hope Usmanov is incoming

This is where it becomes a mater of opinion. My opinion is that what he was saying is that we were in that position due to promises that Martinez made, but didn't need to sell him at all, and had Koeman said that he didn't want him to leave, then he wouldn't have done.

Martinez, in what I would view as a massive attempt to save his own job and face, after a relative youngster had figured out how much of a fraud he was and wanted to get out while he could, put the next manager in a difficult position, and i would expect that Koeman, after speaking to Stones, decided to let him go as he views the team harmony as more important to what he is trying to achieve, that Stones being in the team. MMoshiri has simply said that, had Koeman wanted to keep him and deal with whatever the aftermath was, then he'd support him, as he said on numerous occasions, his job is to support the manager they hired and fire him if he doesn't deliver.

On a number of occasions he mentions a BIG stadium to increase commercial revenues. That should please those panicking that we will get one that's 50,000 or less.

I automatically assume someone so rich will sound like James Earl Jones, but apart from that obvious disappointment, it was good to hear from him.
