Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning ,

Well the teflon chancer remains in office and we have to put up with this odious creature for at least another 2 years. And do you know the people in this country are so stupid that I wouldn't be surprised if they voted him in for another term.

So , what does the day hold ? First up a trip to Tesco for mum and our weekly shop , then a few hours gardening and rest before a 3 hour table tennis session tonight.

That should keep me occupied.

Have a good one.
It was a shocking result for him though. Hopefully enough pressure can be put on him to go. I can't abide him, his policies, his attitude, his personality, any of it. How has this country been taken in by such a charlatan. And I agree. It would not surprise me if he got voted in again.
Sound like the US and the fascination by some with Trump and his terrible policies.

Hi everybody. The daughter has signed us both up for four " Sweaty Saturdays' at the gym - half an hour of high impact exercise....at 7.30 am for the next 4 weeks.. I am going to die. The PT taking the sessions could be described as small but fierce. She's tiny, has a figure to die for and a voice like a drill sergeant! Will be checking the gym for where the defibrillator is located. lol
Good for you, Ange. By the time the 4 weeks of sweaty workouts are over you and your daughter will be so proud of each other and I bet your figures are also going to look great!

Booked everything for my trips to Scotland and Liverpool at the end of the month. All flights, hotels, trains and race tickets sorted. Was going to stay in the Travelodge in Aigburth, but the one near the airport is over £110 cheaper for a 7 night stay. Plus it has a proper restaurant and is next door to Dobbies which has a nice cafe, Most of the places I'll be going will be in South Liverpool and I plan to do a lot of walking if the weather is nice so it makes sense to book in there.

Also booked the tickets for the Queen/Fleetwood Mac tribute night in August during Falmouth week. Just the 3 if us, the youngsters didn't fancy it. Don't know what they are missing. There's also a Ska night with Bad Manners headlining and a funk/soul night where Craig Charles is the DJ, so I may go to one of those too.

Weather doing it's usual down here. Horrible in the morning and brightening up late afternoon, so I may sit out for an hour and read my book before doing my exercises. I'm currently reading Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. It's a historical fiction set during the the Anarchy civil war about the politics and intrigue involved in building a cathedral, and is totally gripping. Even though it must be the 4th time I've read it, I find it hard to put down.

have a good afternoon and evening
You are going to have a fantastic time this summer so make sure you post lots of pics ? I’m looking for some fun summer readings, may have to check this book out.

By the time you all read this will be daylight so I’m going to say good morning beautiful people!

After days of working remotely because of Covid I have returned to campus and it has been busy. Today I was occupied all day conducting interviews, now that I work FT I get chosen to be part of interviewing committees so my boss wanted me to participate in the decision of helping choose a new employee that’s to be hired at our department. While it was a long day, it was a great experience and gave me an inside view on how the hiring process is conducted at the College. So I’m enjoying the new experiences that I’m getting at this new job, even if at times it distracts me from my hobby of photography, dear Jazzy ?

@Joey66 im sorry to hear all the issues you are encountering with your mum in law. I hope things get resolved and she can be transferred to a facility that you all like.

@Methuselah it doesn’t seem we have heard back from you, hoping all went well with your treatment.

Best wishes to everyone this Thursday. Xxx

Morning all. Lovely morning here before the rain rolls in and I wish I had put shorts on for this walk instead of trackies- overheating already.

Good to see Lampard making a centreback signing a priority. Wages and age not ideal but what we need is someone to play week in and week out. Godfrey beside him is what I’m thinking.
Agreed but Frank isn't finished yet and I fear Richie will go
