Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Love the boat, in awe of your father in law.
Sadly gone now. Pics were over 5 years old. He was a great bloke. Preferred the boat when it was painted blue. Absolutely no truth in the rumour that he knew a fella who knew a fella who worked at Claas! No truth at all! ? Been under that bridge you posted many a times with a cold beer in my hand and the sun splitting the heavens.

Hi everyone ,

A bit stiff this morning after a 3 hour table tennis training session but apart from a slight ache the ankle seems ok. looks like I can remember how to play - only lost 1 of 8 matches and that was to one of the best players in the league , so happy with that.

Very heavy rain overnight and light rain now as I write so not sure too much will get done in the garden.

Off to the gym in a bit and then see what the rest of the day has in store.

@anjelikaferrett loved your detail of a wasted working day. Must admit I don't miss work at all!

@Gwladysover beautiful photos but I hope that the dog was ok.

@blue1948 you are a clever bunny at making stuff - dead envious.

@fandjango not seen you posting for a bit. I hope that that's because you are letting your creative juices flow and everything else is ok.

@Methuselah my thoughts are with you and wish you all the very best of luck for the treatment and that Mrs M is as comfortable as possible.

@Sassy Colombian not seen you posting any photos for , let me see , at least 3 days , I hope that work isn't getting in the way of hobbies lol .

@Barnfred 55 please let me know when you are up north and hopefully we can sort something out.

So, I wish you all and everyone else , T , LT , AT etc etc a wonderful day.

Lucky that he didn’t know a fella who knew a fella who worked for Massey Ferguson then. lol 4778EC07-58F5-432F-A629-6AFBE4B6C153.webp

Morning all, sunny here after some heavy overnight rain. @jazzy the dog disappeared into the bushes and we didn’t see it again but it did seem in good condition so hopefully the owner was around somewhere. Don’t overdo it at the gym.;) Off to see my friend for our weekly chat this morning. Can’t believe it’s a week already, considering I don’t do much the weeks seem to whizz by. Have a great day all.?

Good morning all. Raining heavily here today. The cat went out at 3.30am. It was not raining then. When she came back in when we got up she was soaking wet. I tried to dry her with a towel but she was having none of it!. Glad your table tennis went well @jazzy. Enjoy your catch up @Gwladysover .
@Methuselah hope you are feeling OK today and that yesterday wasn't too stressful. As always love to Mrs M.
No plans for today. Was going to get out into the garden but think the rain has scuppered that. Will ring my Dad later, if he's back in his usual routine he goes to Mass on Wednesday morning then to the cemetery to visit Mum and tidy up her grave.
I might watch PMQ later but thre again, why put myself through such torture!

Have a lovely day everybody x

Get out there in the Garden wimps -take some soft wood cutting's for propagation for your window sill or greenhouse .... lol

Hi everybody. The daughter has signed us both up for four " Sweaty Saturdays' at the gym - half an hour of high impact exercise....at 7.30 am for the next 4 weeks.. I am going to die. The PT taking the sessions could be described as small but fierce. She's tiny, has a figure to die for and a voice like a drill sergeant! Will be checking the gym for where the defibrillator is located. lol

As you know we shouldn't dig up anything for at least a year with a new garden ,we move in last june and very soon we have a Lonicera Tatarica rosea in bloom .It is a plant I have never seen in flower and it is a nice shape .If you want I will save seeds for you ,I cannot post cuttings as the post to UK is terribly slow and they would surely perish .The flowers buds look just like the climbers .I will of course post a photo when it blooms .We also have a purple leaved Birch that I cannot find in my books ,the wife has written to Mr Google as he said they are rare in Finland .
@jazzy you are welcome of course to seeds if you want when they are ready .

Booked everything for my trips to Scotland and Liverpool at the end of the month. All flights, hotels, trains and race tickets sorted. Was going to stay in the Travelodge in Aigburth, but the one near the airport is over £110 cheaper for a 7 night stay. Plus it has a proper restaurant and is next door to Dobbies which has a nice cafe, Most of the places I'll be going will be in South Liverpool and I plan to do a lot of walking if the weather is nice so it makes sense to book in there.

Also booked the tickets for the Queen/Fleetwood Mac tribute night in August during Falmouth week. Just the 3 if us, the youngsters didn't fancy it. Don't know what they are missing. There's also a Ska night with Bad Manners headlining and a funk/soul night where Craig Charles is the DJ, so I may go to one of those too.

Weather doing it's usual down here. Horrible in the morning and brightening up late afternoon, so I may sit out for an hour and read my book before doing my exercises. I'm currently reading Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. It's a historical fiction set during the the Anarchy civil war about the politics and intrigue involved in building a cathedral, and is totally gripping. Even though it must be the 4th time I've read it, I find it hard to put down.

have a good afternoon and evening all.
