Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Evening all, been enjoying catching up with the last couple of days photos and conversations.

@Joey66 gardening is hard work and compared to the aficionados on here I have a lot to learn. Not entirely sure what the plants are that I have planted but my climbing roses are beginning to bloom now and they are always beautiful. Gardening is just like everything else in life I realise now, the harder you work at it then the better the results.

Hope you are all enjoying a nice evening Mascoteers.

Hi everyone ,

A bit stiff this morning after a 3 hour table tennis training session but apart from a slight ache the ankle seems ok. looks like I can remember how to play - only lost 1 of 8 matches and that was to one of the best players in the league , so happy with that.

Very heavy rain overnight and light rain now as I write so not sure too much will get done in the garden.

Off to the gym in a bit and then see what the rest of the day has in store.

@anjelikaferrett loved your detail of a wasted working day. Must admit I don't miss work at all!

@Gwladysover beautiful photos but I hope that the dog was ok.

@blue1948 you are a clever bunny at making stuff - dead envious.

@fandjango not seen you posting for a bit. I hope that that's because you are letting your creative juices flow and everything else is ok.

@Methuselah my thoughts are with you and wish you all the very best of luck for the treatment and that Mrs M is as comfortable as possible.

@Sassy Colombian not seen you posting any photos for , let me see , at least 3 days , I hope that work isn't getting in the way of hobbies lol .

@Barnfred 55 please let me know when you are up north and hopefully we can sort something out.

So, I wish you all and everyone else , T , LT , AT etc etc a wonderful day.

Typical clique…pfft…..

Horticulture is like everything my old boss always warned me propagating plant feeding them etc dont put all your eggs in one basket - try things out if you dont waste time you can try another proven method ;)

Hi everybody. The daughter has signed us both up for four " Sweaty Saturdays' at the gym - half an hour of high impact exercise....at 7.30 am for the next 4 weeks.. I am going to die. The PT taking the sessions could be described as small but fierce. She's tiny, has a figure to die for and a voice like a drill sergeant! Will be checking the gym for where the defibrillator is located. lol
Whats a Gym lol my old PE teacher on that jump board saddle thing stood with his hands on his knees, at the end of it making the landing for me impossible - I asked him politely to move as I would not make the jump - he threatened me with the cane ...

So I did my best but flattened him good style on purpose hurting him all the class burst out laughing - he then chinned me good style the class had to pull him off me as he started to kick me on the floor I was only 12 years old ... the hard lads dragged him off - so he picked the most athletic lad in the gym - He will show you how it should be done - he ran up and landed on him for the 2nd time flattening him the rest of the lads ran in & gave him a good kicking - we ran like hell got changed & he never reappeared, but like every bullyboy he got a few of us back in the end as an Ex RAF instructor .... :(

My chosen method appears to be liberal applications of Miracle Gro and wait to see what happens.
Good stuff - alternate it weekly with a high tomato feed to get the balance correct as Miracle grow in high in nitrogen - Tomato feed is high in potassium - water with plain water first then feed as the feed sticks in the soil or compost ;)

Oh Joey I'm so sorry to hear this. How upsetting and sad for you and your family. I hope you find a good nursing home for your mum in law. I would say, as others have, go and visit, have a good look round and read the latest CQC inspection report. They are readily available on the internet and are a good source of information. Ask about staffing levels - especially on night shifts which can be woefully understaffed.
Only had a few hours sleep last night - had more luck today the move was stopped .... for now ... it's awful thanks for your tips ;)
