Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Did she ever change her rebel ways? Asking for a potentially disgruntled mom lol
A bit sensitive still! Very self righteous, never wrong, works harder than anyone else ? always victim (although not a rs!!)

I keep my distance but we get on OK. Our brother in Switzerland ?? has been as useful as a chocolate tea pot in dealing with our parents illnesses and deaths in 2008 and last year.

At least my sister got stuck in, but at times I wondered if I had done anything given her self praise.

Mrs BR is a rock of sense and can handle her and keep me half sane lol:pint2:

I wish we had a huge garden for Daisy that's the main negative about where I live but plenty of nice walks, only is a hassle when I'm in pain but nowt I can do about that unfortunately.

Daisy is still in bed the lazy bugger lol not even been to the toilet yet. I've been up an hour nearly.
T, you have possibly the greatest garden in the world. Most of us only get tto walk around your area of rare beauty two or three times a year. You are a lucky swine but I love seeing the pics of you and Daisy out and about :)

Morning ,

Well the teflon chancer remains in office and we have to put up with this odious creature for at least another 2 years. And do you know the people in this country are so stupid that I wouldn't be surprised if they voted him in for another term.

So , what does the day hold ? First up a trip to Tesco for mum and our weekly shop , then a few hours gardening and rest before a 3 hour table tennis session tonight.

That should keep me occupied.

Have a good one.

It was a shocking result for him though. Hopefully enough pressure can be put on him to go. I can't abide him, his policies, his attitude, his personality, any of it. How has this country been taken in by such a charlatan. And I agree. It would not surprise me if he got voted in again.

Good morning. Today I have to go to a conference. All morning. Entitled ' What we do and why we do it' I am not happy. Taking everybody out of the workplace for three hours to a hotel in Darlington to be talked at by senior management seems like a colossal waste of money and productivity to me. Our sister office in Liverpool are having similar tomorrow in Liverpool. So, 800 people removed from work for 3 hours. 2400 work hours lost. It also concerns me that managers appear to think we don't know what we do or why we do it, given the title. I'm assuming in their heads it is some sort of faux engagement operation that ticks a big box for them but makes little difference to anything.
It is unbelievable considering the Civil Service are supposed to be shedding 90,000 jobs and making efficiency savings.
Not to mention that I'm going to have to drive to Darlington through peak hour traffic, ( about 45 minutes) and pay to park.
Rant over. I'm hoping that one of you is a Daily Mail journalist in disguise! ??

They’ll keep him until just before the next election, change the leader and then people will vote for the replacement on the basis “might as well him him/her a chance”

Sounds like a fun day. lol Re the shedding of jobs : my friend’s son and DIL are set to lose their jobs next year, they have been told that their office will be closing. They have two young children, such a worry for them. Safe journey there and back.?

My mum had a sister like that. Mum took on the care of her youngest sister from the age of 11, I’ve mentioned that before so sorry for repeating myself. She then gave up her job at 17 to look after the family full time as my Nan became ill. Her sister had flatly refused to do it so it fell to Mum. In later years my aunt would often reminisce about the hard times she and Mum had endured washing, cleaning etc. Used to drive my Mum wild, especially as the sister had refused to do any chores on the basis that it would ruin her nails.. Mum never confronted her though, she would just fume inwardly and then explode after she had gone. I obviously didn’t inherit Mum’s placid nature, I would have given her both barrels.lol
