fair enough, like I said you're probably not wrong but can't blame it all on training as I'm sure we had the same training regimen last season. This season has just been dreadful from basically all parties involved.

Obviously I'm Not privy to all our training methods but we have lost numerous backroom staff over disagreements with Martinez and training most notably the conditioning coach over the insane number of hamstring injuries ....

Genuinely sick of you stuttering 'kneejerkers' as descriptive, it kinda cheapens the opinions that people have or have had that - get this - have been formed over time.

You're clearly knowledgeable RE your footy David. Just not sure who it is you actually support TBH mate. Facts, figures, stats...whatever. If you can't see it then you not lookin'.

And I genuinely wonder if you are looking or are remotely even bothered. He's now verging on utterly inept, how can it be viewed any other way?

1. Hilarious
2. It cannot

He'll get one though

If we go down, he'll resign, take six months, and then come back to a good job elsewhere

It'll all be spun that it was unlucky and that the players he inherited from Moyes weren't good enough or some other stuff

The media will focus on the 5th place finish and the FA Cup win

Meanwhile, our depleted squad will be scrapping in mid table of The Championship, with Phil Brown or Tony Mowbray as our manager

Dunno mate.

Not sure he'd ever get a bigger job than us.

Mr GrandOldTeam, you're a plotter but i'm too scared to call you one like i do everyone else.
Ultimately.

He finished 5th.

Moyes achieved that, and more, with lesser players.

"Record points total"

Yeah, good achievment. But he made a small improvement to an already decent team.

However this season he's took that already decent team and save for a handful of games made them absolutely bloody awful.

Thats why more telling taking a team from 5th to 14th than it is taking one from 6th to 5th.

If 0 is an average job(keeping us 6th) then 5th is +2 but 14th is -10. A few good results in the EL mean nothing when you arse up an away leg when 2-1 up in the last 16.

We had already conceded 4 goals in the first 2 games before we played Chelsea - including 2 in the last 7 minutes against Arsenal.

We effectively conceded 4 goals in 10 minutes!
If you had watched the pre-season games it wouldn't have come as any surprise.

The same issues where apparent. We looked like we where playing in treacle with teams just walking through the middle and seemingly having space everywhere on the pitch however when one of our players had it they had 3 players around them and no one to pass to.

I still believe that pre season completely ballsed this season right up, shocking pre season and the signings as good as they looked were not really an upgrade on what we had the previous season

Rarely seen a group of player with so little belief in what they are being asked to.

That is a sackable offence in itself.

But he won't be sacked and will be given next season until our goal difference is about -37.

We will never ever defend properly under this manager, simply because he's not bothered about working on it.

Game too far in a competition we did well as novices in.

Nothing to see here other than that.

PL needs sorting now then we can set our sights on the summer and rebuilding.

I won't vote but my opinion as an outsider who just joined You last summer ( and didn't get a clue about last season till I watched some videos) is the following.

I've started to be surprised by October that how the hell did he manage this team to 5th place. Till then I literally pray before each match that Everton somehow wins. It only happens when the players stood up for themselves but don't look arsed 75% of the games. Today it was a terrible lineup and subs. He should have subbed Alcaraz at HT and even McCarthy who was very poor and if RM wanted to rest him then he should subbed him at HT.. At 3-1 Besic would be a good sub but not at 5:1 when he's driven just by his emotions and totally pissed of with the loss. Honestly I think QPR game depends mainly on the players attitude. Sure he'll play Gibson who can help a lot and Besic will be punished for his outburst. But as I see he can't put a good defending team together yet that's the most important thing. There are players who can create but it's useless if defence is so so poor.

The future of the side is Stones, McCarthy, Barkley, Lukaku and Besic.

This season though means that we will be lucky to hang onto them more than 1 season if they continue to progress.

Seriously reckon we could lose Lukaku this summer now, money talks and he gets nailed on 15+ a season! He is a very attractive proposition for a team with European football and lots of money of which we know there is.

Fair enough but all through this season every player from Coleman to Lukaku, Baines to Jagielka have taken flak for poor form. I maintain that our players are performing poorly due to training and tactics which Martinez the manager dictates . I think anyone who disagrees and says they are not performing its their fault is crazy or ignorant to what is actually going on in the pitch tactically
They can't all turn to rubbish without the manager taking some responsibility.
