Fair enough but all through this season every player from Coleman to Lukaku, Baines to Jagielka have taken flak for poor form. I maintain that our players are performing poorly due to training and tactics which Martinez the manager dictates . I think anyone who disagrees and says they are not performing its their fault is crazy or ignorant to what is actually going on in the pitch tactically
fair enough, like I said you're probably not wrong but can't blame it all on training as I'm sure we had the same training regimen last season. This season has just been dreadful from basically all parties involved.

But you have to agree there is something there. Some seeds of building something.

Last season was the benchmark that went beyond Moyes in terms of style and points total.

His signings by and large have been a massive success. Besic, McCarthy, Lukaku, Barry.

He broke Barkley and Stones into the team and gave them responsibility. He's also gave Garbutt and Browning game time.

Hes got young gifted players as a spine of his team that need time.

We won home and away against one of the top sides in Europe against Wolfsburg.

He took risks and brought in named players to try and help the team like Eto'o and Lennon, rather than play it safe.

When we've been accused of not being able to defend, we've put defensive displays in.

When we've been accused of not changing tactics, we have.

Yes, I totally agree with people wanting him out. But there is something there.

Now, we either stick or twist. I don't want is being a club who rotate a manager every year personally.

Neither do I, but I don't want a club that accepts a relegation threatened season whilst being knocked out of the domestic cups at the first stage either.

There's probably a middle road where you accept the manager has be so bad as to justify being sacked, and not sacking a manager every year.

As for the rest of your post, he was 'phenomenal' last year, but unfortunately you can't ignore that it was built on Moyes's stability at the club, and whilst I hoped he had the capability to evolve on the success of last year and take us to a new level with his own team, he's done the exact opposite. I can't come up with an argument for keeping him as manager, because he's failed so utterly that you have to take action against it for the clubs own self-respect if nothing else. It's totally unacceptable.

In the words of Andy Warhol " everybody has there 15 minutes of fame" you have had yours now so its time to get back to basics and remember why you come on here you are an Evertonian and I would imagine you must want whats be best for Everton rather than running a one man campaign to make yourself look good in the hope that one day you can say I told you so, i was right all along.
I want whats best for Everton and its as clear as the nose on my face that is not Roberto Martinez

I tell you what mate, why dont we just see what happens now. Because I'm pretty certain off how it goes: we get to safety in the league and then we prepare for next season with this team and manager and some additions.

And all the screaming and shouting for a manager's head (for three days) wont change that fact AT ALL.

And that didn't last long.

Predictable kneejerkers.

Roberto is Everton manager and will stay Everton manager.

We all know this. Settle down.

Genuinely sick of you stuttering 'kneejerkers' as descriptive, it kinda cheapens the opinions that people have or have had that - get this - have been formed over time.

You're clearly knowledgeable RE your footy David. Just not sure who it is you actually support TBH mate. Facts, figures, stats...whatever. If you can't see it then you not lookin'.

And I genuinely wonder if you are looking or are remotely even bothered. He's now verging on utterly inept, how can it be viewed any other way?

fed up with these polls. no matter what we know martinez will not get the sack. the first season he came to us and did something revolutionary and built up our expectations, barkley was a class player, coleman was class, McCarthy solid, Jags and Stones developing a brilliant partnership. This season has been the stark contrast (albeit in Europa) and i honestly think its all down to the 6-3 thumping we got at the start of the season by chelsea, our nerves where built up due to the fans expectations (which we should all have) and then our confidence ruined by that. Moyes stayed how long and never got us a cup run like we've had this year. Us Evertonians deserve better, but i believe martinez does hold the key to it, he got us Lukaku in, and hes been incredible, i personally rate the guy so highly, and he's building a team around the youngsters such as barkley, stones, lukaku, coleman and we need to respect it. With our league form did we really expect to thrash wolfsburg and get to the last 16 of Europa?! We deserved to go all the way, but sadly its not to be and that in a strange way is why we all love football. We will stick we Martinez, but he needs to learn to play to our strengths, i really do question his tactics sometimes, but he's the manager for a reason and we should give him the confidence he deserves yes he's had a bad season, a lot of our players have had second season syndrome. But this season is almost up thank god, we wont go down, we will get 3 points against QPR, and its on to the next season, keep the players we need such as rom, barkley, mccarthy, i dont mind mirallas leaving i personally think he's a cause of this rot, and start fresh next season.

Stay humble Evertonians.
Keep the faith.

So much wrong with this. Moyes took us to pens of the same stage of the conpetition that Martinez has just rocketed us out of. He also got us to a cup final, Fa cup semi and league cup semi. Yes we had a poor cup record but don't make oyt this year has been a brillisnt European trip, it hasn't. Insipid away at Lille and Krasnodar, poor at home v Lille and Krasnodar, lucky Young Boys were shambolic then bottled both ties against Kiev. Wolgsburg is the only anonaly. The Villareal, Fiorentina and Benfica sides Moyes lost to were a class above anything we've faced. Kiev were average yet Martinez bent us over and made a movkery of us yet again with a ream selection that popckrned every single fan who tubed in. He is a fraud and an embarassment. There were many low times under Moyes but he never treated us like idiots.

League Performance. Lowest points tally in PL history.
FA Cup. Out first round.
League Cup. Out first round, stuffed 3-0.

Europa was his saving grace this season. That performance, that naivety, has now put an extra black mark against him.

He currently has a job for two reasons.

1. Last season.
2. Kenwright being a clown and giving him a 5 year contract/mural on the back of one decent season.

This.

IF he hadn't had that 5 year bumper deal and a big stupid picture made he would have been jettisoned after Hull.
0 points over christmas with 4 very winable fixtures finished him for me.
Out of the FA Cup from a HOME tie with Sam Alladyce's West Ham just added a cherry to the turd.
Tonight we just rolled face first in the aforementioned brown stuff.

Kenwright and the board need to admit they got it badly wrong and sack him.

We where unlucky last season that a record points total didn't get Champions League but Christ in any other year we would be dangerously in trouble. Well more so than we are.

He can't honestly bring a positive from that can he?

I'm a positive person when it comes to Everton and even I can't be upbeat after that save for the fact we didn't drop any league points from it.
You'd expect not. At least you'd hope he would not. Still, I would not unfortunately not be surprised if he did try to sneak in a few positives.

Martinez has continually adopted the same approach all season (in his media coverage and tactics) regardless of whether they are justified or not.

Thus why should we expect him to change now? Maybe I am being crass... Maybe I am just releasing some pent up frustrations.

I'd genuinely like to believe that he feels the pain we do, but he's simply too much of an optimist (and an egoistic character) for me to believe this.

You think a lot of the players will still be here?

"Boooo we didn't win the Europa League....people watched us on ITV4 and will laugh at us.....booo hoooo...sack the manager....boo hoooo"

And next season we'll start it with Roberto as Everton manager.
