He'd get a decent side in Spain or Italy no problem

That or he'd get a lower team like espanyol and do something with them until a better job opened up

The point is, he'd be fine

We go down and we'll end up like Forest or Leeds
we're not going down mate. we're closer to newcastle than the drop

it doesn't even make sense - play it tight, you've got the lead and a bench to make changes if you go 2-0 down

or

put Barkley and Atsu in from the off

Maybe. But in reality he's only had one good season managing in the top flight.

And a lot of bad ones. Including this.

Agree we'd be utterly ruined if we went down.

Watch him start Alcaraz and Barry for the rest of the season. It seems the worse you are, the more game time you get. Shame I don't have the time to hang around Finch Farm and show him how cack I am. Reckon at 35 I'd get a 5 year contract from him.

I tell you what mate, why dont we just see what happens now. Because I'm pretty certain off how it goes: we get to safety in the league and then we prepare for next season with this team and manager and some additions.

And all the screaming and shouting for a manager's head (for three days) wont change that fact AT ALL.
I agree with you mate nothing will change we will probably start next season with him in charge,we also will have sold Barkley , Mirallas and possibly McCarthy and Stones and replaced them with a few journeymen players who cant get a game anywhere else.We will probably be in the same sort of place in the league and you will be telling us all we are kneejerkers to calm down.
Is thats what you want cos thats whats gonna happen,Grounghog day

The fact is that to mix it with the best in the Premiership and experienced European teams we need better players.

Alcaraz, Barry, Naismith, Atsu and Kone, Howard in the latter years of his career are not good enough for the levels we aspire too.

His tactics remind me of a game of battleships he makes 5 changes gets 2 right 3 wrong and then changes the 2 he got right and ends up with 5 wrong. Always supported him but my patience is running dangerously thin.
