Pipe down eh.

Martinez is safe as houses.

There's no realistic candidate to replace him and he's on a five year contract.

Safety > end of season > Martinez summer transfers > 2015/16 season.

That's the sequence.

Honestly, you're going to do yourselves a mischief. I fear for the sanity of some. It's a poor football season for Everton FC. Hard lines that, but there we have it. We cant have good ones every year. It isn't guaranteed. But no one was killed. We live to fight another day. Let's try to move on with a bit of dignity.

Thoughts?

Do you acknowledge that Martinez has been 80% of the reason we've had such a poor season?

The biggest tragedy of this season is our best (even the underperforming ones) players will not be here next season. There's no way the core of: Stones, Coleman, Garbutt, Baines, McCarthy, Besic, Barkley, Mirallas, Lukaku, will be intact next season. Can easily see two or three of those being picked off in the summer. I can just about buy the idea of giving Martinez the benefit of the doubt, a summer to take a long hard look at himself (and his tactics), and the first 10+ games of next season, however, i'm not sure i trust him to find adequate replacements. In the day's of Europe being upmost to players, money and agents in their ears, i can see our club dropping away very quickly, and a further talent drain summer 2016 if we are not back up around the top 7 next season. This season i can just about rationalise, but next season is probably the biggest in our history and Roberto's approach this season is not filling me with confidence. I think the above scenario is what is underpinning a lot of the knee jerk reactions, fear of the future.

He's not going to do that. He'll never do that. He's said so himself.

Coleman and Barkley won't go because they've had rough seasons and no one's going to pay as much as we'd want for them. Can only see garbutt, kev, and rom going if there's enough interest and they want to leave

Cleverley is truly cack for a start.
We should build our midfield round jimmy mac but hopefully it won't be martinez rebuilding

Yep new manager with new tactics!

I'd play McCarthy has the 1 holding midfielder. A little like chelsea do with matic and arse do with ???? Can't remember his name haha the young lad (coq somet)

He's doing well under Sherwood. He was just a name I picked because we had been linked with him

Alex Song is available for how much?

If he joined he would be our best defensive midfielder and would probably cost no more than a few million.

I like McCarthy so I'm not going to continue this but playing him alongside Barry has had it's day.

I want to see Barkley play there for the remainder of the season alongside either McCarthy or Besic. Lennon on the right and Atsu on the left and Naismith until we can find a replacement playing as a No10 until the end of the season.
