Naismith give it away making easy 5 yard passes. Mirallas gives it away being a greedy [Poor language removed] trying to beat the whole team.

The problem is that good players can easily pass through a press especially if it comes from one player like when Naismith does it.

Naismith does about the same amount of poor passes as everyone else this season, or twice Lukakus, he's also put in twice the effort and stopped a lot of attacks, he's made goals, scored goals, run his butt off, done great passes, and decent passes, put in good tackles too.. but hey if your only looking for the bad touches, that's all you will see.

I think Barkley's best position is probably in centre midfield and I would like to see him play more there next season. I would also like Garbutt to play more regularly and we also have Oviedo so if we move Baines into centre midfield then that would free up the left back slot.

We have too many players for two positions and the two players who have played those positions have been awful almost all of the season and their lack of creativity has been a major reason why we've been found out.

If we can get a good bid for McCarthy and bin Barry then I wouldn't mind trying something different there.

They where the cornerstone of our good season last year but now they're a millstone around our necks.

Fair enough. I just don't think he's good enough to start for us.

As an impact substitute I think he has a place in the squad but not as a starter. His movement is excellent.

McCarthy is not a millstone round our neck.
Its the tactics that stifle him and barry.
Our system was flawed last night and nobody took ownership.
Mccarthy was covering for atsu,barry and naismith at times plus the fact the 2 centre halves were so deep he was picking up players in the box.

McCarthy is a very good player. I just don't think he's 16m better than Besic or even 13m better than Cleverly.
