Can't dribble, has no pace and gives the ball away constantly. But I suppose a few goals makes all the difference.Naismith is ace, keeping him his essential, he's Tim Cahill with a Scottish Accent.
Limited ability, but scores, sets up goals, unnerves defence and midfield and is all over the pitch.
He's McCarthy further up the pitch and if he went I would be concerned about where the drive in our team would actually come from.
He's no Messi but his football ability is massively underrated imo.
Barry who was epic last season, was good enough to earn his contract... then turn to cack, get rid or just relegate to teaching the kids how to play.

Or even footballing ability.Don't forget that he runs a lot as well, apparently our fans value that over actual creative ability
Why would you bin mccarthy he is a brilliant defensive midfielder? Can't dribble, has no pace and gives the ball away constantly. But I suppose a few goals makes all the difference.
I would bin McCarthy too if we could get a good price. I think Besic is just as good.
Barry earned a 3 year deal at 33. He played well last season but Messi would be lucky to earn that.
Naismith give it away making easy 5 yard passes. Mirallas gives it away being a greedy [Poor language removed] trying to beat the whole team.It does if your 0-0 and he scores.
Mirallas can dribble, has pace, and also gives the ball away, he gets dogs abuse too.
Is Atsu better?
If you have the ball in the DM position and you are facing say Osman or Barkley (not yesterdays, rest of seasons Barkley), you have all the time in the world to pick out the right pass to the right person to launch a counter.
You have the ball in a DM position and Naismith is on the field you have a second before he's on you, won it, trying to start a counter, it may fail, it may not , it may result in a goal, it may not, but its a damn site better than the opposition having it.
Or even footballing ability.
Lets be honest Naismith has played our fans with his buying tickets for the homeless and his die for the team persona. He should be a politician.
In fact actually I probably shouldn't slate him because I suspect he will go on to become an excellent manager.
For the money and I think we could use the money to strengthen other areas. Why would you bin mccarthy he is a brilliant defensive midfielder?
