That's European football really. Home advantage needs to be fully taken and we didn't get the goals we required.
if that's the case then I don't see why you bothered to use an aggregate scoreline to reinforce your point

you know where I stand on Martinez, I back him, but with regards to last night's display, like our chums on the pitch....we can't defend it

I am really fearful of what may happen next season if we don`t get shut in May. Huge gamble in my opinion giving him cash to spend, it would be like `flipping a coin` on our premiership status next season. I am hopeful of `mutual consent` in May severance pay, see you later

Just another game that proves Naismith is by no way a starter for us. He's not technically good enough to play in a top 6 team. I don't give a damn how many free tickets he gives away.
Ultimately The bad outweighs the good with him. He was non existent last night, baines was getting no protection whatsoever

From almost day to day? That's not going with the facts that's kneejerking all over the shop.

Here's the last 5 polls on this forum which all took place within 18 days of each other:

1st March (post Arsenal) - Martinez IN 55% Martinez Out 45%
4th March (post Stoke) - Martinez In 38% Martinez Out 62%
15th March (post Newcastle) - Martinez In 65% Martinez Out 18%
19th March (post Kiev) - Martinez In 29% Martinez Out 79%

How can that be seen as people coming to sensible and consistent decisions?

It's blowing whichever way the wind is blowing.

It's a results game.

The consistent for me is the significant number voting out.

Of course, statistics can be spun. The Newcastle poll. Despite two successive wins, 35% still didn't back the manager.

Listening to Talk Sport.

Comparing Martinez with Rodgers is a joke.

Liverpool where rubbish due to playing Gerard and Balotelli which is many ways was out of his hands.

We're rubbish because of Martinez' tactics and team selections. All of which he's responsible for and has the whole season to fix.

Again though, it's not consistent. The numbers are deviating from 500+ to just over 100 and then back near 500...and it'll change back down again if we win the next game.

the only consistency here is volatility.

The only way of getting a true picture of mood is what Wooly blue stated yesterday: put a block on polls until a few hours have elapsed and people have the time to discuss it.

Personally, I wouldn't sack the manager just yet.

My thoughts remain as so: https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/martinez-the-reality.73441/

But, the managers performance this season has been piss poor and it would be a sad day the day a manager of this club's position isn't under scrutiny after such a piss poor effort. Hence me not taking too kindly to davek's patronising of fans not happy with the current situation.

If it was my decision, I'd be demanding a return from the remainder of the season. The better he does, the longer he'll have to prove himself next season.

Finish well, December. Finish as so, October.

He's on thin ice, and rightly so. Any other top 6 club last season would have sacked him.

He needs to get us into the top half for me to want him to have the transfer window.
