I disagree with nearly everything you say and your reasons for each point are pretty flimsy

Each to their own; as I said in my previous reply, noone and nothing will change my mind. I'll get behind Martinez because I want what's best for Everton, but he would not have been my choice as new manager. I feel someone who knows the club inside and out would have been a better appointment, for example, an Alan Irvine/Alan Stubbs/Phil Neville/Andy Holden/Davey Weir kind of character (not necessarily one of those, they are names to emphasise my point!!) Men who have worked with the academy and know what they have coming through the ranks, men who have worked week in week out with these players, that know how they train, how they click, who plays well where and with who. And to me, Duncan Ferguson with his undoubted passion, his love of the club, his willingness to get involved physically with training, someone who is now very reserved media wise, keeps his head down, and someone who would encourage the team immensely whilst not taking any nonsense, would have been my ideal appointment. Infact, I feel that Kone and Jelavic would improve leaps and bounds with some training sessions with the big man, injuries and behaviour aside, he had it all but he wasted it; they could learn from him; he could do it with both feet and his head - I really believe he could get Jela's confidence and goalscoring touch back, and he could help Kone with the following (my qualms with the lad) lack of interest when he loses the ball, more clinical touches - his first touch was poor many times yesterday, being more aware of his surroundings regarding both opposition players and team mates, more passion and finally... plenty of target practice!

Is Hayee receiving a cyber-gangbang here???

I'd have loved the big man btw, nea

They all think because i'm female my point is null and void; at the end of the day i've never let anyone make decisions for me, I know my own mind, and no matter how hard they argue, i'll still never claim I wanted Martinez, I'll get behind him but the truth of the matter is noone will suffice as I wanted Duncan Ferguson, the only way Roberto will win me round is if he gives Duncan a contract and lets him play for us again, 41 or not he's probably fitter and more clinical infront of goal than Jela, Kone and Vellios combined at this moment in time!

It's utterly insane that this poll is up this early in the season.

We could still get relegated or win the league. He has at least until January before I even venture an opinion at all.

We're not going to get relegated. I mean, SERIOUSLY.... some people need to have a look at themselves and their opinions...

Joe Royle was completely different. Firstly, he knows what Everton stand for, he knows/knew all about the fans, the stadium, the way we play; and that was back when football was completely different, we were the dogs of war, we fought for everything, there wasn't the money available that there is these days! Blackburn won the league that season remember?
Thus saying Martinez doesn't get us in any way, listen to everything he says and does will show you the exact opposite is true, you dont have to have played for a team to get them mate. Also the dogs of war tag was a media thing based on one pre fa cup game comment, royles team had a huge amount of skill in it, kanchelskis, speed, parko and barmby just a few of those, and citing how the leagues different now cos Blackburn won the league back then seems to forget blackburn won it off the back of spending a shed load of money equivalent in modern terms to the outlay city chelsea had in comparison, so not too different after all

Lazy, looks disinterested, misses sitters - we should have kept Victor

All characteristics said about Victor over the years, rather give a new player a chance personally

I haven't checked, but that doesn't make it right to leave an unguarded back post, our defense was a shambles yesterday

No arguments here, the set piece defending was awful yesterday from us

did you watch the game? noone knew what they were doing, at one point i watched gareth barry play left back while Leighton Baines went for a wander (without the ball!!) I saw distin and jags play a few very dodgy back passes, i saw us lose the ball over the bullens road because our defenders didn't have a clue. You can't argue or defend that! Too many players had an "off" game

Yet we still deservedly got the 3 points, you dont factor in the international break and the fact we had so many playing twice in a few days over it, and little time preparing compared to Hull, something i think was very noticeable

Hibbert is a better defender, he reads the game better. I'm not knocking Seamus at all, i just feel safer with Hibbo at right back. He is solid and dependable and will soldier on regardless; without any qualms or hesitation.

Absolutely laughable statement, anyone who'd willingly play Hibbert ahead of Coleman has lost all grip on reality.

Well, whatever he said yesterday was not very effective; we were appalling, i've not seen us play that bad in a long time! We should have had a ruck of goals, and so should Hull if their strikers had have hit the target.

Then you haven't watched many games mate if you thought that was the worst we've played in a long time

Lukaku was very very quiet yesterday, i think he'd benefit from a strike partner, stick Naismith/Mirallas up front with him if you don't rate Jelavic, I certainly wouldn't play Kone

And Martinez thinks that Lukaku is better up front alone with Barkley dropped off, i know whose opinion is sounder in this regard

I acknowledged that when i said "I know he got a knock on international duty"

Even when fit, Velios has not exactly been lighting the reserves up, so god knows why he deserves a second look at getting proper game time

That makes it acceptable? Yes Chelsea did the double over us last season, but the 2 seasons before that we beat them at Goodison, not a valid point. And if you wanna go there, we lost away to City, which we had only done once previously in about 9 games, home and away! I wouldn't say we've improved, we may have more points, but we do not look as solid as we have done

Apparently looking solid matters more to you than getting more points, never seen a team get into europe over a team with a higher points total on the basis of looking more solid

For me, noone will ever stand as high in my esteem. I doubt many others will agree, but noone and nothing will change my mind

Ferguson was a great player for the club and will always have a place in all evertonians hearts, and maybe one day in the future when he's more experienced and has some proper managerial grounding behind him we will see him back here at the top, but to think he is remotely ready right now is ludicrous

In summary mate i think you just see things through if their a blue then youd have them over anyone else, thing is footy isnt like that, you have to be good enough to merit it, a lot aren't

On this one I think it's because your opinions are a bit off, IMO anyways. I like a person who isn't revisionist btw.

I honestly think Hayee is just trolling. I just disagree with literally everything he posts and I don't know of any Blue at all who thinks like he does.

There's always that tiny percentage (in this case 3%) who have wacky views.

Obviously. We're not going to win the league either.

But right now we could theoretically end this season, in the league, with either 15 or 105 points. We're not going to do either but the fact we don't even know within 90 points how well we'll do should tell you it's a little early to judge right?

He's a she mate, but not like Harold off corrie. BTW, everyone's entitled to their opinion. It's hardly trolling.

get to ****, for a start i aint no "HE" and i've been a member here since the boards opened, jog on and only judge me if you know me!

Quite honestly Martinez hasn't exactly set the world alight for me, however the fact that he's walked in here and without appearing to do very much has been able to prove to be easily the equal of Moyes results wise shows you to what extent Moyes was either over rated or held us back, or both.

At the moment I like what I see...one aspect I liked yesterday was the subs - obviously Piennar was great, but he brought on Naismith and Kone to keep a bit of pressure on Hull and give them something new to consider..Ok Kone missed but he didn't let that get to him and had a more difficult chance which their keeper saved well..Naismith also kept their defence occupied and in the end they never troubled us.

Instead of taking Rooney off for Smalling and trying to stay at 1-0 (ha Ha)

Or Martinez is doing a good job and you are underplaying what he has brought to the club?
