can we have a maybe please?

as i'm happy but also concerned about our defending!

i honestly dont see a difference in the defending over last year mate, it looked ropey at times last year too, last two games i think we just came out second half thinking the game was won already vs Newcastle, and today jags looked knackered and they had all their pressure though set pieces, strangely think we look a lot more vulnerable to those without jelavic playing as he does defend them really well and we dont have that many good in the air tbh

That cos Martinez is more about attacking teams where Moyes worried about the defensive, so what we're seeing is normal.

I'm pretty relaxed about not being defensively minded. What we have seen both from Everton and others is that teams who go out with the intent of defending first tend to make stupid individual errors anyway that give away goals.

We'll go through a bad patch or two and a certain percentage on here will be using Moyes' teams as a stick to beat him with.

Not me mate.

I said I would give the fella a Season and judge him, I dont need a season, he did superbly in the transfer window, the team plays some lovely football and most of all the results are coming in, IF we do hit a wall, the players will be getting my wrath.

I just think that his footballing brain is light years ahead of Moyes. I remember one Moyes interview where he basically said "there's not that much to tactics, you simply put one of our players opposite one of theirs."

his subs change games time and again. Everything he does seems to have a method to it or a purpose behind it, however you want to put it.

Certainly a lot different than what went before.

...I think it is easy to underestimate the challenge this manager had. In effect, it was easy to fall below the standard of his predecessor and really difficult to at least maintain it. I would say his start is at least what we could have expected had DM stayed. He has kept the momentum and we seem to be moving in the right direction.

Need Moyes back forums concentrating on only footy have "TO LET" signs out ....

tumbleweed around Toffeeweb - (sniff that Lyndon Lloyd you prck)
