Everton are a bad match for us. They know how to foul, dive, time waste etc and it stops our fluidity. We looked good for the first 25 minutes of the second half but they took the sting right out of the game. It's frustrating to watch but you have to give them credit for it. You have to get an early lead against them most of the time.

Obviously doesn't help when we're nowhere near our best but at least we have a game next week that we have to get up for.

blue moon is always good for a laugh..no mention of big man dzecko falling over like a girl for the peno though

The right looks terrible going forward but solid defensivley.

To me, Moyes has to pick and chose who to play to suit the game.

Any home game, Coleman for me. Basically any game we can clearly dominate.

Any tough games, like today, Hibbert should get a shout.

I'd probably have a home side playing our usual system and an away side with Heitinga slotting alongside Jagielka and Distin with Coleman given as much freedom as Baines as a wingback. It seems like Seamus, like Leighton, is an attack-minded player who can defend, rather than a defender who is good at getting forward. When we play a flat back four both fullbacks tend to push on and we're left 2v1 or 2v2 in the middle.

I'm sure Coleman will be a good player for us, but we need to adapt our system to accommodate him.

I was the other way, missed the first half.

So as far as this match goes, I watched us get utterly destroyed for 45minutes.

Still, good result for me.

You must have watched a foreign game mate....nobody destroyed us today. The Champions struggled to muster a decent chance nearly all game. We dictated the first half, and they dictated the 2nd. If that's destroyed then I'll take being destroyed at the Emirates, Chelsea, OT and WHL this season. You sound like Brenda claiming they've invented football and destroyed someone because Andres Allen made 40 1 yard passes.

Yeah the 4th official be wrong because Osman didn't even make a challenge, he jumped over Dzeko while he wa salready on the floor.

Even Problert wouldn't give a pen for that surely.

"The disappointing thing is that we were asking the fourth official what the penalty was given for and he said it was [Leon] Osman for a tug on [Edin] Dzeko," he explained. "Anybody that was here would have said it certainly wasn't Osman, but that's what the fourth official told us and he had been told by the referee.

From the everton site, so I assume that the linesman 4th offical made a mistake and meant fellaini, hence the tug on
