My only concern is.....Naismith is very very gash from what i've seen so far.

Kudos to Moist for rediscovering the scottish Kuyt though, we have been crying out for someone who is rubbish but who scores regularly enough to prevent him being dropped.

I'm not sure whether it's personnel or whether we knew that we had to defend properly today and we got our head on the game. In seasons past there's normally one match like that where the penny drops and we're tight defensively for the rest of the season.

The right looks terrible going forward but solid defensivley.

To me, Moyes has to pick and chose who to play to suit the game.

Any home game, Coleman for me. Basically any game we can clearly dominate.

Any tough games, like today, Hibbert should get a shout.

I think, at the moment, its whoever is fit.

I'd say Distin mate. Have you stopped fuming now? You make a [Poor language removed] out of yourself every game lar. Loving your fume though.

LOL. Sorry mate. I just love Everton so much.

And yeah Distin is another reason especially his height. I don't think Jags and Johnny is the solution in the middle.

Was supposed to finish work in time to catch this but alas, I've only just got home. Still, happy with the result. We'll do Spurs next week. COYB!

Hibbert all day long in these types of games. Coleman against your bottom 14 teams. Unless Hibbert is in form, like. As he was the back end of last season. Just felt so much more at ease with the defence with Hibbert there today.

As others have rightly said, Gibson back makes a hell of a difference.

I do though think that (as much as I love Tony Hibberts slide tackles) Coleman would benefit from Gibson in the side.

This season Moyes has intentionally pushed our full backs high up the pitch so they can use their attacking abilities more often. The downside to that is without a holding midfielder (Gibson) its means that we are ridiculously open to the counter attack because oppositions are running at our 2 CBs). Gibson provides opportunites for our fullbacks to bomb on, which isnt exactly Tonys strength.

What are your thoughts gents? You agree that Gibson back with Hibbert at RB would be a bit negative (providing Coleman is fit of course which he isnt at the moment)

Thing is, there were plenty of times when we looked like we could have done with Coleman when Hibbert got near the box and done nothing with it.

Its a fine line though.

what was most pleasing was the fact we didn't buckle in the 2nd half like we've shown so far in the season as soon as the opposition got on top. with all their attacking prowess they didn't carve out one real chance in the whole match and i thought we defended superbly. silly from felli for the pen, but opposition do it to him every time we have a set piece and he's never won a pen .
