Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

Hamas has, in its own eyes and minds, justification to exist, stop that and the area walks towards peace.
Hamas, like Israel, needs to be viewed as a business.
Hamas only exists in the first place for one reason though and their aims are a reaction to that reason. So to take them out the equation you need to fix the other side, which is something that probably can't be done. Of wasn't for Israel's actions, there wouldn't be a Hamas to fight against them

That protest was probably the one a few months ago against his judicial and constitutional changes, not against this (though there certainly appears to be very real anger against him and his ilk that largely goes unreported here).

As for Putin, I’d have a lot more agreement with him if he hadn’t made a career out of doing exactly what Bibi does - delegitimise opponents, create crises, and then use them to advance his agenda.

If he genuinely wanted to get rid of NATO he could have done it years ago, entirely peacefully and with the blessing of Europe.

I'm not sure about the veracity of this.

There have undoubtedly been protests against Netanyahu this week, but not on that scale. The long range clip appears to be from a different source to the reporter on the ground, and the crowd less dense. I reckon the footage is from the judicial reform protests a couple of months ago.

Good to see things looking bad for Netanyahu though.

It will be interesting to see if there is the same anger now against Netanyahu as there was then.

Isn’t Hamas an Israeli creation to split the Palestinian leadership back in the 70’s ?

I thought I read that somewhere

Iranian convoy was attacked and destroyed last night by “unknown aircraft” on the Iraq / Syria border. It’s starting to spread

Also bit weird as to what an Iranian convoy was doing in Iraq???
I see the US has sent aircraft carriers to the med to prevent attacks on Israel.

I would set up a Palestinian state over on the West Bank. Done over a few years and paid for by western and Arab countries. That would be the longer term solution, but I would engage with Egypt and Jordan to make this happen, by asking both of them to take over Gaza and an agreed area of the West Bank immediately and oversee the transition. Both Israelis and Palestinians would want to live without war, but during the transition I would want the two aforementioned countries to help eliminate the terrorist groups in order for this to be obtained….

There already is a Palestinian state - it is called Palestine! Unfortunately, it is now pretty much called Israel
