Last line is completely untrue: the Israeli population get a lot out of the constant incursions into Palestinian territories after a terrorist attack: the continued destruction and degradation of the people they share a land with and the continuation of their own sumptuous lifestyle as Gazan's especially get further and further ground into the dirt and oblivion.I have been through an emergency c-section situation with the missus. If we had been in Gaza there is a very high probability both would have died. Seeing the reports about the tens of thousands of mums to be there is heartbreaking and a disgrace. Worse still for the young children finding their lives have entered hell. I cannot even imagine the anguise and terror that these poor people must be feeling and experiencing.
There was a dad I may have mentioned earlier, a Jewsih chap who's young daughter was murdered by Hamas whilst at her friends. You could see that his life is destroyed, heart broken and in extreme shock.
There was another Palestrinian dad and husband who had lost his wife and all his chldren in a bomb strike.
No one in Israel or Palestine is winning here, everyone will lose. It is a disaster. That said, there will be actors looking to benefit from this.
You think this is going to lead to security for Israeli's. Also you seem to be assuming that all Israeli's will be behind this.Last line is completely untrue: the Israeli population get a lot out of the constant incursions into Palestinian territories after a terrorist attack: the continued destruction and degradation of the people they share a land with and the continuation of their own sumptuous lifestyle as Gazan's especially get further and further ground into the dirt and oblivion.
You simply can't take a middle line on this. There's only right v might.
Blatant land grab.
Leave or die.
Also we'll prevent you leaving.
Why are you not responsible when we have given you options.
mad how a lot of arab country’s don’t like palestiniansEgypt denying Gaza civilian access to the country through south border. Thats insane but not suprising. They rather see them dead.
The power equation flipped in the intervening 75 years. Historically, weak states that suddenly become strong tend to give in to their worst impulses to punish and retaliate. It's worth pointing out that this never ends well for them. Violent challenges to the international order in the last few centuries have led to one of two results: victory by the incumbent, or a pyrrhic victory for one of the combatants that leads to a third party or parties becoming dominant.these [Poor language removed] are no better than the ones who tried to wipe them out in the 40s
They're concerned they'll let Hamas in, which will lead both to challenges to the existing regime and painting a target on themselves for the Israelis.Egypt denying Gaza civilian access to the country through south border. Thats insane but not suprising. They rather see them dead.

I can't see anything stopping what is about to happen short of the relocation and dispersal of the Gazans as refugees across the globe. IMO the war cabinet's chosen path leads to dead hostages, pariah state status and a much broader war. I can only conclude that the attacks have deprived them of reason.

The similarities of the reprisals are alarming.these [Poor language removed] are no better than the ones who tried to wipe them out in the 40s
Isn't this one of the IHRA definitions of anti-Semitism that all the centrists had such a hard-on for?these [Poor language removed] are no better than the ones who tried to wipe them out in the 40s
