And the FA are looking into it, what I have a problem with is people slamming a player ( regardless who he plays for ) for being a racist when nothing has been proven yet, is it not innocent until proven guilty?

I have no idea what was said, but going off the evidenc we have you can see he's not speaking English, looks like he saying puta or something

your making out im calling Holgate and calling him a liar, that is 100% untrue, his reaction at the time was totally justified if that's what he's thinks happened, I just thought he'd have reviewed the footage, calmed down and thought about it realistically

To be fair i have not seen any posts on here claiming Firmino is a "racist" the majority of the posts are people saying they dont know if he has said anything due to only having one camera angle.

For what its worth even if firmino is found guilty i dont think he is actually a racist, he would of (if found guilty) made a racist remark, he should obviously still get punished

So far nobody on here can say they have watched it from an angle that suggests a racist remark was made. That is a fact.
I also doubt the FA have too many additional camera angles to look at, but hopefully they have at least one from the other side of the field that is facing Firmino. That ought to clear the whole issue up. Somebody saying the N word... that oughtn't be too difficult to see from a front-on shot.

Yeah, it looks like he's said more to Holgate, who then pulls the ref back and repeats back to him what he's been called, I wonder when or if the statements will be released from each player?

Seen that one already mate. It's mainly from behind Firmino, and the only time you see his mouth it's in the shape of an "o", and this is fractionally after Holgate reacts. Don't see how this can prove anything one way or the other.

What is needed is a camera angle that sees through the gap between Holgate and Kenny, and will have an almost full on view of Firmino's face. Not sure what the chances of his are.

The ref has seen that though and decided not to punish it hasn't he? I'm not sure what the rules are on retrospective punishment so couldn't say with certainty but I thought it was for stuff that the ref had missed? I could be wrong.

But I believe the FA can step in and hand out retrospective punishment.

No idea, but it's hardly crime of the century is it? I mean he's a tit for doing it and he'd lost his head a little bit but I don't think it's a red card offence and if he hasn't booked him during the game then surely that's that?

I think it`s the other way around mate.

The fact that the ref hasn`t done anything means the FA can step in and punish him.

If the ref gives a card, I think that`d be the end of it as far as the FA are concerned.

People do stupid things everyday , in fact every hour . The prisons are absolutely full of people who you couldn’t imagine would be so stupid as do something but did. It’s just life , people particularly in moments of high stress rarely think out the repercussions of their actions .
