Racism may not have affected you but that doesn’t make it right. The days of shrugging it off are rightly over as it is unacceptable in any instance.

Your logic is equating a push in the back to treating a person as lesser than you because of their ethnicity. Really? Where does that road lead?

If Firmino had come back and shoved Holgate then fair enough, quid pro quo. But he didn’t, he chose to degrade him.

Attributing any blame to Holgate for hearing racist comments directed at him is poor logic indeed.

How is it poor logic? I didn't say RF thought less of him because of his ethnicity. If Holgate would've chosen to keep his nose clean, then he wouldn't have received a back lash. The world is full of evidence that when 1 person pushes, another pushes back and generally speaking, it isn't an eye for an eye. Maybe RF was a little clever in his response. Something that wouldn't easily lead to punishment but would cause maximum reaction? An as to where the road leads. The same place as always mate. Ignorance won't vanish and neither will racism. We live in a world of segregation (refugees placed in certain areas etc). Media promotes it too. You never hear a news article promoting the act of a Muslim for example. Hand on heart mate, answer me this. If a devout Muslim got on the bus and sat next to you with a tattered Aldi bag. Would you wonder? This is the real world mate. As mad as it is, it is what it is.
