Walking to the ground yesterday I heard and then saw two fellas selling something called One by One. I was interested enough to give a slide glance for longer than 3 seconds. Then I heard “new Everton fanzine”. I was over like a bolt of lightning. I was gutted when Speke From the Harbour and WSAG stopped printing, I still have countless copies of each. I had the exact £4 change required and off I went. Had a little blast through it at the turnstile and a little more at half time. It’s really, really good. I said to my lads just after I bought it “all is right with the world, there is an Everton fanzine on sale outside the ground, this actually feels like our new home now.” They just laughed and told me to shut up and stop being a d!*khead

It’ll be on sale at the Arsenal game as well I reckon, and they’re hoping to do another issue.

Loved wsag, someone there knew how to write funny. If you can offer me a few laughs, I'll read almost anything. The gallows humour Everton provides is often good hunting.

Evening all,

A new Everton fanzine is coming out - The Black Watch. I spoke to the mods on here last week and they agreed it was ok for me to plug it to you all.

Fanzines aren't everyone's cup of tea but, as there is now only one regular print fanzine in circulation outside Goodison (fair play to the lads at NSNO), we've decided to have a go at producing one ourselves. Something you can shove in your back pocket and read wherever and whenever you want, on a match day or on your commute.

After a summer of writing and designing, the first issue of The Black Watch is currently with the...

It’s funny what kinds of things invoke memories. Countless times walking up to the old lady with my dad I remember the same fella selling WSAG, I can still hear him calling out now.
