Four days of state mourning, & then 11 days to the funeral.'.....
My older brother I spoke to tonight in 1953 on the day of King George's funeral - the respect was far greater massive street parties - main sandwiches on the menu Egg butties.......he was about 4 years old no TVs in those days just a radio on - to console the King who died young ..,..Cancer .....a young Elizabeth thrown inst the deep end ......

Jumpers for goalposts, mum calling you home for tea. Beans on toast? Marvellous, isn't it?

My lad went off to work on his night shift thinking I was disrespectful by my indifference of the passing of the Queen, just got in with his head fallling off with 75 other work mates who have had to endure back to back coverage and the national anthem being played every 25 minutes on the radio, by 1am was met with collective groans and whistling... Well done!

I don't get it though she's literally had no power to be anything but a figurehead for GB and the commonwealth since her reign began, if you're angry at her because she didn't do anything to stop people being poor, take that up with the successive Tory governments we've had, yeah the Monarchy is garbage idea, being born into such wealth that was earned through some pretty grotesque methods of the time, but she didn't do that, as far as royalty go, she was as good a Queen as any Queen could be with zero powers to actually govern the country or perhaps ya'll want an actual Monarchy and to let the Queen govern us and make us not poor ?
Uh huh: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/feb/08/royals-vetted-more-than-1000-laws-via-queens-consent

More sway than one may think.
