Not a fan of the Royal family, nowadays they’re a glorified Tourist Trap.

Some of the behaviour over time has been dispicable.

That said, it’s going to be a tough announcement for some and I’ll gladly respect that. Don’t get these weird shouts about her “being in the mud”, and so on.

Just have a bit of taste, you can be not bothered, delighted, but don’t be a bellend.

Dont force mourning on people who do not want to mourn.

The being in the mud shouts may be a little harsh but there are long, detailed posts in this very thread that totally explain this point of view. It's not just throwaway comments.

Speaking of tough announcements, I actually felt for Liz Truss earlier <spits>.

She’s what, 2 days in the job, and has to go out and make that statement? Must have been bricking it, and I had some sympathy for her.

Would have been terrified of stumbling over her words, but actually managed to get through it without ballsing it up.

I properly burst out laughing at this.

The fact is that it is not a sad day (is for her family obviously). She had a good long life and carried herself with dignity. You've got to try and see the humour in things because life is short (even a well lived 96 year old one).
