Indeed a tragedy.

News today that a 96 year old billionairess died peacefully in her castle surrounded by her children and grandchildren who had been flown in by private jet at public expense. The Queen lived a life of unimaginable luxury like that of, well, a Queen.

Elizabeth Windsor had experienced the great loss of her loving husband Phil, a Duke, taken too soon at just 99. He too passed away peacefully last year in another of their castles.

Elizabeth leaves behind her children Charles, who alas has never worked a day in his 74 years, Anne who once rode ponies and Andrew who liked helicopters, antiperspirant and dodgy peadophile friends. Sorry and Edward. Always forget Edward. Nope he's never worked a day either.

So it's absolutely right the country now faces the sad loss and makes light of its own problems that clearly pale into insignificance at this time of national despair.
I think Edward gave a good account of himself on "It's a knockout" if you're old enough to remember that.

Four days of state mourning, & then 11 days to the funeral.'.....
My older brother I spoke to tonight in 1953 on the day of King George's funeral - the respect was far greater massive street parties - main sandwiches on the menu Egg butties.......he was about 4 years old no TVs in those days just a radio on - to console the King who died young ..,..Cancer .....a young Elizabeth thrown inst the deep end ......
Sadly those weren't the 'tomorrows' I was referencing. A laugh is worth a thousand tears, though I concede they both have their place.

Speaking of tough announcements, I actually felt for Liz Truss earlier <spits>.

She’s what, 2 days in the job, and has to go out and make that statement? Must have been bricking it, and I had some sympathy for her.

Would have been terrified of stumbling over her words, but actually managed to get through it without ballsing it up.

I mean, her comments which are now circulating on social media, regarding the royal family - made when she was a student - probably made it harder.

Not a fan of Truss either, but politicians are known for having a way with words, aren’t they!

Yeah. I get why people are against the monarchy. Absolutely no issues with that and in many aspects I probably agree with them. It's taking the piss out of somebody's death I don't get.

But as I said, I'm not losing sleep over it. I fully expected it on here but accept it too.
It's not really taking the piss though (some are I suppose).

These feelings come from somewhere deep inside. Especially in present times were people are properly struggling to merely exist at times. That will always breed resentment. I think purposely trolling about it just to be a knob is crap, but A lot of people are just sharing their true feelings which I think is more productive really.

You advocated wiping out the innocent men, women and children of Iran so let's not get on our high horse about decency.

Thsts different mate though - did those damned iranians ever give us a speech at Xmas when the country was in the toilet telling us how bad 'their' year had been so stop complaining

Oh yeah, someone will be doing a super cut of her previous comments cut with that speech announcing ERs death, as we speak.

But I couldn’t help thinking of how nervous she must have been. Pretty historic stuff like.
