Farhad Moshiri: Ronald Koeman Statement

Mental and physical fatigue at this stage of the season?

The mental fatigue might stem from all the abuse they get from Evertonians at Goodison and on Twitter.

Not sure how they can be physically fatigued, though. Yes, we've played 14 matches since 27th July, but the season is still very much in its infancy.

Every time he opens his mouth he embarasses the club. Just wish I hadn't been conned into thinking he'd actually do the business here. It actually makes it more frustrating. He's a comedy figure for other clubs and needs to go more than any manager. This era has been a shambles full of deceit, lies and incompetence.

Surely if he delivers us a world-class 62,000 stadium his media howlers can be forgiven?

Only Everton could screw up being bought by a Billionaire

In fairness, Villa didn't too well after being taken over by Randy Lerner, a man who is richer than Mr Moshiri. And Newcastle have been relegated twice under the stewardship of Mike Ashley, a guy who is three times as wealthy as Mr Moshiri.

Most of the struggling clubs are owned by billionaires, from Crystal Palace to West Ham to Stoke.

The key to success is being taken over by someone who's worth £30bn, like Sheikh Mansour or Roman Abramovich.

Moshiri is a speculator. Our net spend approx 50 million, about 15 million more than Burnley. The Barkley debacle at the 11th hour of deadline day would have brought in 35 mil which would have put us approx equal spends as Burnley. So I dont understand how the `accountant` holding the purse strings could be so suprised that Burnley beat us at home.

You're bang on.

The idea that we spent an enormous amount in the summer is a fallacy.

I do find it amusing how much some of our fans think people care about us.

“We’re a laughing stock”, “he’s turning us into an embarrassment” etc

You all need a hard reality check. No one gives a toss about Everton bar Liverpool fans. We are insignificant. When we start winning trophies and becoming successful then we’ll start to get mocked by other fans.

Hardly anyone other than evertonians will know or care about these comments. Stop overvaluing how much other fans care about us, it’s cringeworthy.

This. Everton on thmy grand scale of things are totally insignificant, we haven’t won anything in 20 odd years and don’t ever look like winning things. Why would anyone else care about us?

Btw, I have to say I'm disappointed in Mosh's comments.

A bit like Koeman at the moment, he seems to do things with the best intentions and to appease fans, but only gets half of it right.

In essence, there's nothing wrong at all with the second half of the statement.

But that's all that was needed. There was no need to go on about injuries, or 'unexpected losses' or fatigue. It's October ffs

That about sums us up mate, a club only capable of doing everything in half measures.

Im glad the press have got onto what he said as it's not acceptable regardless of that's what he meant. He should be smart enough and rich enough to have people around him to advise what to say and when to say it.

Relieved we have a 2 week break now to hopefully let everything simmer down though I think Koeman is now on borrowed time and will need to pull out massive wins to turn things around such as a cup win against Chelsea, cup win against Lyon and against Arsenal. That would galvanize everyone and restore a bit of belief not only for the players but the fans as there is an air of inevitability about him failing and getting sacked imo

True.

Brighton is huge.

We need a performance and the points, and we need then to beat Lyon.

At least a point against Arsenal and then yes, a real go of it against Chelsea.

I've almost written off Brighton just due to our away form being so bad bit like you said it's massive. Another poor performance and he might not get a chance to see the Lyon game.

3 points and a solid performance against Burnley would have made the world of difference to everyone yet we are left here with more questions than answers

Ashley is not worth three times the Mosh mate, $2.8billion against $2.6 billion.
