Farhad Moshiri: Ronald Koeman Statement

Unexpected loss is an embarrassingly inappropriate turn of phrase to use, and yet not at all surprising if this is his private line of thinking.

As its Everton, this gets overlooked, and still further proof that we are not to be taken in any way seriously. The media are a resource to be used and exploited for your own benefit, not vice versa.

We can have no objection at our treatment in the media, when our own custodians set the bar low.

Quite urgently, Moshiri needs to learn to delegate briefings to someone else, preferably a person brought in afresh from an outside organisation.

It is an indictment on the club that he is allowed persist with Jim White interviews. I'm sure he would see reason if we had professional media management in situ.

Using Europe and fatigue as excuses is unreal. The fact that we expect certain defeats is mind boggling. No football team should be expecting defeats. Awful comments them.

I still think a lot of what I said here is true;

Particularly;

Granted, Atalanta, Apollon, Bournemouth and Burnley followed but it's still early days in what is an attempt to a significant rebuild.

This is true.

It’s just very hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel at the moment.

It’s hard to see him turning this round anytime soon, which may well see this season as a right off already by the time he does. If he does.

Then he’s got one year left on his contract. So it’s all on the last season?

Ha ha we're all DOOMED.....looks in garden shed for flaming torch and pitchforks....let's organise a march comrades....:cool::cool:;);). Rafael IN !!!!!!

Don't see what the fuss is all about myself, nothing in that statement which isn't true.

If we start firing managers evertime we go through a bad period then expect to go the same way of Newcastle etc. It's bloody annoying but he has to be given more time and probably until the end of the season unless it's clear to see we are in a relegation scrap.

It's been done to death, but it's no fun wondering where the next goal is going to come from, never mind the next win.
We've absolutely no threat going in to games, and we're gash at the back.
As bad as we've been before, we've always had a punchers chance in games, now we're beaten before we cross the white line.

He'll be given a while longer yet to get it together - I think most of us appreciate/think this. Whether you think that is right or wrong isn't the point...

Moshiri has moved very quick to give the manager assurance and attempt to remove doubt - uncertainty doesn't do anyone any good.

The statement and intent is honourable but seems out of date with the position of the game in today's world. I wonder if the club can really afford to let it,s brand be damaged on a global international and national basis (via the media and social platforms) on a week to week basis. We seem to be moving at a different speed within the club vs the reality of the game for good or bad.

If the intent was to hope that the fans would rally to the manager then I just cannot see it.

He is never going to wash the dirty laundry in public. The show of support is what i would have expected. There are obviously major concerns and it is a certainty that conversations will have taken place (or will imminently take place) about things needing to improve very quickly. If they dont improve and he needs to change things, i doubt he would even bat an eyelid about doing it. He is a billionaire businessman and it is part of his genes to be ruthless and without heart when it comes to business and making/losing money.

I've made the point before, but there are truths that need telling and truths that don't - this is one of the latter. Along with Koeman's (uncensured) comments about Lukaku going to a bigger club and us not being anywhere near the top 4, and his own shambolic interview on deadline day, the PR out of the club is absolutely shocking. How can we expect others to take us seriously when we can't even big ourselves up?
