Farhad Moshiri: Ronald Koeman Statement

Exactly. The Away performances to Swansea and West Ham last year were diabolical. That was with Lukaku and Barkley too.

This isn't a blip, it's a full blown crisis, One that was papered over thanks to a purple patch from Christmas to February. Take that away and we have been absolute mince since the Norwich cup exit.

Speaking of cups that's Leicester (2nd string), lower league Norwich, no marks Limassol (with 10 men FFS) and a middle of the road Italian side that have done us in cup games since Koeman started. But for a 50 yard worldy flattening Split, we wouldn't have even made the group stages imo.

He is Mike Walker and needs binning!

A wonderfully succinct and accurate description of the Koeman era thus far ;)

I still think a lot of what I said here is true;

https://www.grandoldteam.com/2017/09/11/early-days

Particularly;

Everton were in a league of their own last season – sat in 7th, 15 points clear of 8th and 8 away from 6th.

We needed to make big changes to have any hope of competing with the teams above us.

We’ve made a lot of those changes and the new lads need time, and opportunity to perform before being so readily, and conclusive written off.

Granted, Atalanta, Apollon, Bournemouth and Burnley followed but it's still early days in what is an attempt to a significant rebuild.

he comes across like a bit of a tool, the new lads need time? yes they do but what about the lads who have been here a while? or the lads ie Sigurdsson and rooney keane etc who have played in this league for years, only really klaasan and sandro can get away with the new league tag( vlasic is similar but looks to have settled early )

why does he always go through Jim white?

embarrassing, the whole barkley thing on deadline day was embarrassing as well

He'll be given a while longer yet to get it together - I think most of us appreciate/think this. Whether you think that is right or wrong isn't the point...

Moshiri has moved very quick to give the manager assurance and attempt to remove doubt - uncertainty doesn't do anyone any good.

But in football a message of support from an owner is generally interpreted as a sign that that the taxi is on its way and the uncertainty and speculation continues unabated.

:(

If he really supported him there may have been a line stating the board failed to deliver the striker he needed.

Agree mate, massive cock - up by the board not getting a striker in, the the thing is though, the board could easily point to the fact that they have given Koeman £142m to spend this Summer. Also, Moshiri has said Koeman had a big say in all the signings that were made.

It kills the speculation for the next 2 weeks though, if we get done again Brighton it starts up again, but everyone knows he's going to be in charge for that game now, which wasn't the case this morning.

to be honest as great as a striker would have been, and a CB as Williams is gash the system Koeman plays is so pish poor negative we could still have Rom up front and i don't think it'd make a difference. No balance, no pace, no clue.
