Farhad Moshiri: Ronald Koeman Statement

Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has released a statement insisting Ronald Koeman has his total support.

Farhad Moshiri: "We are in a bad moment but we have played 4 title contenders, 3 away from home.

Today [Burnley] was the only unexpected loss. The 4 pre-qualifying UEFA games and 2 group games on Thursdays haven't helped. There is mental and physical fatigue and 7 injuries.

These are early days and Koeman has my total support. We have great fans and they deserve better. We know the honest and objective expectations of our supporters and will not let them down"

Oh really? So the chairman expected to lose to Spurs at home and Atalanta away, and to just roll over v Man U and Chelsea.

Had enough of this joke club.

I'm assuming you expect us to win every game then.

No mate, but as you know there is a huge difference from going into games hoping to win and at the worst expecting us to be able to grind a draw out, and going in expecting a game to be a loss before a ball is kicked, which is what this suggests is the case.

Our owner, expected us to lose away at Atalanta and at home to Spurs

We've played 14 games this season mate, not 7, the form we are showing stretches back until April last season, so it's about the 20 game mark now we have looked absolutely shocking.

I like the way the chairman refers to him as 'Koeman'. Ron is clearly just as charismatic behind the scenes as he is in front of the camera

Do echo others sentiments that the 'unexpected loss' line is awful. 'Lost in translation' or not, that's a pretty damning thing to say.

No ambition.

He's here to either turn a profit, or we can hope beyond hope he's here as a caretaker to tread the line until Usmanov comes over.

If Usmanov doesn't and we're stuck with this chancer... well...

Azza mate

We aren't a laughing stock.

It has to be my most hated phrase in football.

Paddy Power takes the mick out of every club/player/manager. Don't let it upset you.

What's a shambles is the performances.

But, as @Thomasc said in the other thread, Koeman's being backed.

There's no point losing sleep over it. He's going to be here come Brighton so let's see if he turns it around.

Remember the time he mocked up a picture of the Grim Reaper standing behind Moyes when he brought United to Goodison lol

Exactly. The Away performances to Swansea and West Ham last year were diabolical. That was with Lukaku and Barkley too.

This isn't a blip, it's a full blown crisis, One that was papered over thanks to a purple patch from Christmas to February. Take that away and we have been absolute mince since the Norwich cup exit.

Speaking of cups that's Leicester (2nd string), lower league Norwich, no marks Limassol (with 10 men FFS) and a middle of the road Italian side that have done us in cup games since Koeman started. But for a 50 yard worldy flattening Split, we wouldn't have even made the group stages imo.

He is Mike Walker and needs binning!
