Farhad Moshiri: Ronald Koeman Statement

It will all go off after the Watford game...they obviously didn't have 'The dreaded Chairman's vote of confidence' back when he was a lad...somebody should've told him about the absolute cliché-ness of it

Azza mate

We aren't a laughing stock.

It has to be my most hated phrase in football.

Paddy Power takes the mick out of every club/player/manager. Don't let it upset you.

What's a shambles is the performances.

But, as @Thomasc said in the other thread, Koeman's being backed.

There's no point losing sleep over it. He's going to be here come Brighton so let's see if he turns it around.

Based on the Moshiri statement mate, unless we lose badly to Brighton he will be here comfortably until mid November (after Watford at home)

Our fixtures up until then

Lyon (h) - may be a game we don't expect to lose - so a draw would be probably enough to satisfy ambitions
Arsenal (h) - given the statement and that we expected to lose spurs home, then Arsenal would be in the same category of an expected loss
Chelsea (a) - expected lloss as we expected to lose the league game
Leicester (a) - probably an expected loss also
Lyon (a) - would be an expected loss if Atalanta was - given that pre the group starting Lyon where considered a stronger team

Can't understate just how damning and telling that one line in the statement is and will become...

That isn't going to go down well. How does this guy not have a media/PR team to advise him on what he probably should or shouldn't say?

He doesn't have a media team, and nobody at Everton willing to do it for him either it seems, we have seen that often enough.

People with his background have no normal cause to have dealings with the media, and this has been exposed quite crudely since he came here.

Surprised, and shocking even, that this has not been addressed.

I have said before that I think Bill and Bob derive a certain perverse entertainment by seeing him exposed like this.

That line 'only unexpected loss' - sets the club back to pre Moshiri in terms of ambition.

The bloke is an absolute PR disaster every time he opens his mouth or issues a statement.

We as a club are 'expecting' certain games before the season to be losses in essence, absolute loser mentality.

I'm assuming you expect us to win every game then.

The whole "unexpected loss" thing sits really badly with me... sound very much like "knife to a gun fight"....

Glass ceiling has been put back into place and re-enforced after the sounds of trying to crack through it.

EDIT: and the loss to Atalanta was expected? FFS
