Didnt see the game was it that bad were Arsenal that Good ?
What's worrying is that what we thought was the solid and experienced foundation of our team (extremely competent defence, midfield pressure) was completely and utterly exposed.

I don't think it's halfway as bad as it looks and I think we'll crush a few teams ourselves (OK, maybe not 6-1), but for a team and a me that was thinking they are not that far off the CL places, it's a tremendously sobering result.

On todays showing does that stand for 'Championship league'

I agree with your comments. But at the moment it's all mental with us. We lacked belief at the back. Yobo, Baines & Hibbert were all exposed. Also when we bypass our midfield against Arsenal the final verdict was never in doubt. Ask any coach assessing the game.

It's simply flippin' embarressing. We were outclassed all over, just glad that wasn't their best team.

My worst day.
1. Didnt get the job I wanted.
2. Car repair bill for £1200 that I havent got.
3. Everton 1 Arsenal 6.

Just great.

Know the feeling on the car repair bill. Repaired Transmission a cool 1,600.00 this week.

I wish people would realise just how awful Jo really is.

I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt. and i will for a while because when he played in russia he was unstoppable. im still hoping he will get that form back.
Didnt see the game, heard he played sh*t but still, if he keeps this up for 5 games in a row then sure, id bench him too but for now, still a decent striker in my eyes

We have just endured a worse summer than last year, now we have just started much worse. Despite the 4-5-1 formation serving us well in past season's, i have never been a fan of it. Playing 1 upfront at home is so negative especially when Arsenal played 3 strikers. I cannot and will not put the blame on any particular player for this awful defeat but put this down to the mentality that is down to the whole clubs current state. Surely the players must be despondent over the lack of activity in the transfer market and then we play a defender who wants to be elsewhere. We will turn the corner shortly after this minor blip, but we need new signings and now, then we need to get rid of that liar Mr Kenwright who is pocketing all the clubs profit.

I have lost my internet since last friday and I come back and see that we lost 6-1. I am depressed.

But this news i just heard on 2 signings in 48 is making me happy again. Oh well we lost, but the season just started, COYB!!!!

Quite a start to the new season.:(

The weaknesses we know of clearly there to see. Right flank ugh, Neville just not good enough or quick enough in the middle, for me Yobo has not been good enough for a while going back to last season when Jags was injured.

Upfront not convinced on Jo at all. look at last season. If he is a true Brazilian I will eat my hat. Crap.

Who would want to sign for us after this defeat??

I agree, the right side is a complete joke and Cahill and Neville must be 1 of the worst Midfields in the Premiership. Cahill is NOT a CM, he does a job there, but hes far more effective more advanced, Neville is not a CM, hes decent at RB and hes alright at DM, but hes not a CM.
