I don't even think Arsenal were at the top of their game today either .
First half was pretty sloppy by both teams , and I think we were probably the bigger factor in the result than Arsenal .

I've seen Arsenal play much better than that week in week out , but we simply had a mental block going on today , and it could have been prevented had Moyes acted much earlier .

I don't buy into this ' 2nd half ' substitution thing that managers do .
If things aren't working after 20 minutes , then make a change immidiately .
Had he brought Osman off , and Saha on in the first half , I think it would have been a much closer competition .

A question i would like to ask is why does nicklas bendtner wear number 52? Its such a random number. Being an Everton forum you guys might not known but it was something i was pondering during the game. It took my mind off the aimless hoofball and terrible defending that i wrongly thought we had left behind.

Its his favourite number......

I dont wanna talk about anything to do with this game, apart from his very odd favourite number....the kind of reverse of 25 which he apparently had last year

He's also paying 10k to reimburse the people that bought a shirt with his old number on......

Embarrased I am, I tell you. I am in Washington on business and my season ticket was used by a mate from Canada, first visit to Goodison and has followed Everton for some time.

I cant begin to think what he's thinking, I cant even bring myself to text him it hurts too much.

**** off Everton I'm really, really pissed off. I spent fortunes last year following the blues to Wembley and I'm repaid with no summer signings, no investment, the usual summer of bollocks from the website.

I am totally sick of it and its ruined by summer.(n)

I don't know why, but he apparently asked for it. Had 28 last season I believe, right? Even offered the fans who got his name printed on that shirt, to repay them. Cost him 10.000GBP thus far.

Cheers Dutch and Alio, heard on ESPN that he had offered to refund the maybe 2 people who brought his shirt! Sorry for going off topic, but it was just strange to see someone with that number.

We will mate but big changes need doing at boardroom level also.
Today, it was once again made painfully clear, that the top 4 are in a league of their own. Without investment we're not progressing beyond 5th place, I'm realist enough to understand that. Still think we'll be up there challenging for 5th place come May though.

I just think Spurs, Man City and Villa, despite their loss today, have caught up with us. It is not all doom and gloom at the minute although i wanted to do myself in before, but new faces are needed and progression in the Europa League is imperative.

Everton under Moyes was a team punching above their weight. We could only do this thanks to the team ethic and camaraderie in our squad. However, after such an exasperating summer, that team spirit has evapourated. This is what happens when you piss around while others are busing with the business of running a football club. It's going to be a long season. Forget about Europe - we'll be lucky to finish top half.

Kenwright either needs to go now or cough up the missing money we all know the club should have. We have a chairman who claims to be a massive blue yet is starving the best young manager of the funds he requires. Sadly, we are a country mile off the top four and are now in a position where Man City, Spurs and Villa are threatening our top five status. Despite this defeat, we will be fine but major changes are needed beforehand.

Exactly mate - when was the last time we had money with him in charge?

He's not selling 'cos he wants a place on the board when the new owners take over - and none of them are willing to give him one (y)
