Seriously , I think getting done 6-0 is exactly what we needed today .

  • It shows the board that we need to put some money on the table .
  • It shows Moyes that his player selection was once again poor .
  • It shows everybody the poor state of mind the team are in at present , including Moyes .
Once again , our weaknesses are coming to light , and not necessarily from the usual suspects .

Why did Moyes wait untill well into the 2nd half before changing things ?
It was fairly obvious that we were unable to hold the ball up today , and though in the first half we were actually winning the 50/50 ball , we couldn't do anything with it .
We were screaming out for 2 strikers , but Moyes simply swaps one for another .

Howard looked once again like his feet were concreted to the floor . He really needs to be dropped for a few games and give another keeper a shot . His reactions are poor and long shot stopping pretty dire .

Neville is simply not good enough , and needs to be replaced as does Osman .

Osman for continually proving that he can't play that position , and get into the game , and Neville is careless both in the tackle and in the pass . If you are going to lead a team , then you need to lead it by example , and though he gives 100% effort , he simply isn't up to the job as a footballer .

Hibbert was replaced today , but really wasn't the cause of our problems . Our defensive line was shocking , to the point where it looked like nobody cared , except funnily enough Lescott , who didn't really do a lot wrong throughout .

Yobo had a bad day at the office full stop .

Baines was totally out of sorts throughout the match , and his link up play with Pienaar was non existent .

Pienaar didn't look fit , and also looked way off colour .

Fellaini ran his ass off , and was probably our best player today , with the exception of Saha , who should have been on from the earliest opportunity once Moyes realised things up front were'nt working .

Cahill with the exception of 1 attack was pretty non existent too , and is starting to look out of sorts in midfield . When he isn't scoring , he isn't doing much else either unfortunately .

Joe had no support throughout , and struggled badly in possession which suggests he can't play the lone striker role , especially against top teams .

What I've noticed in recent months is that our 'A' game is very good , but our 'B' game isn't good enough , and we are missing 3 or 4 players in which we would need to consistently perform at our best .

Howard , Neville , Hibbert , Osman , and Cahill need to be addressed before the team can push on .

Howard simply isn't consistent enough and needs to have more competition for his place .

Neville isn't good enough in his current position and I think Hibbert is the better right back , so not sure he has a future as a first 11 player . We are desperate for a top class defensive midfielder and Neville unfortunately isn't the answer .

Between Hibbert and Osman , one has to be removed from the equation , and personally I think Osman is the bigger problem , and needs to be moved to another position , more central , or dropped .

I think unless we get more options for that position , then we should swap Osman and Pienaar over and see if it can work better .

I really don't know what position Cahill is best in . I'm more inclined to believe he would be better as a striker than midfield , or even an impact sub .

Hopefully the club and players can look at this today as a warning , and act accordingly . I don't think for 1 moment that it will happen again this season , but seeing as it has happened , I think the timing was perfect .

Erm...firstly Howard is the best keeper at Everton and one of the best we have had. Secondly Cahill as an impact sub? HA...but CM is definitely where he should NOT be playing. And i dno where that remark about Neville has come from, he had a fine season last season and he is vital to our team.

Trouble is when you look at the players highlighted, Moyes will not drop them. Why was Rodwell not given a chance or Gosling, could they have been any worse?

It's my opinion bud .
You might not agree with it , but that's cool .
People see things differently .

This is ******* nightmare.

I'm taking a vacation off football.

FFS! Why was I born an Everton and Sporting supporter? Maybe I'm just a little step from enjoying bondage and crap like that.

Embarrassing, total lack of commitment, passion and effort. Absolutely fuming. Top 4 with that team? Your having a laugh. Arsenal are a different quality to us.

Grrrrr, get out of our club kenwright you c£&t, you are killing us.

I'm not that surprised in the result this evening, for me, hopefully one good thing will come out of this, Arsenal beat the Shyte by two points to snatch the Prem at the winning post, they're laughing now, wait till the end of the season, I'll be wallowing in their demise. (y)

If you ain't got the dosh, you ain't going nowhere these days.

A question i would like to ask is why does nicklas bendtner wear number 52? Its such a random number. Being an Everton forum you guys might not known but it was something i was pondering during the game. It took my mind off the aimless hoofball and terrible defending that i wrongly thought we had left behind.

Kenwright either needs to go now or cough up the missing money we all know the club should have. We have a chairman who claims to be a massive blue yet is starving the best young manager of the funds he requires. Sadly, we are a country mile off the top four and are now in a position where Man City, Spurs and Villa are threatening our top five status. Despite this defeat, we will be fine but major changes are needed beforehand.
