Abject doesn't even cover it.

The fact that, barring a 91st minute tap in, that it would've been the joint biggest home defeat in our history says everything.

just caught injury time and saha slotting in. amazing how we tore them to pieces. can't wait to see the whole match.

I'm worried how easily our centre opened. Somehow you expect a bit more from the players. Are there problems in the changing room? Players being demoralised over events during the summer? Team spirit has been the single most important thing Moyes has created at the club and if that's gone... doesn't even bear thinking.

totally gutless result.

funnily enough i thought lescott played alright , pienaar and saha also looked lively.

other than that...

howard ...erratic , rooted , looked heavy
hibbert ... can tackle but is positionally awful , cant run or cross to save his life
yobo .... chasing shadows , constantly on the back foot
baines ... got ripped to bits ... made bendtner look world class
cahill.... is an attacking midfeilder in a 5 man midfeild , he doesnt have a good enough skill range to play cm in a 442.
neville ... looks like a not very good right back pretending to be a cm.
osman ... rubbish , gave the ball away cheaply , made poor decisions , no end product.
jo....wet fart performance
fellaini........ being asked to do too much aswell as play out of position (him and cahill should swap roles)

arsenal played school of science football , everton looked more like 'special needs school'

if we are not a club in crisis , then we are certainly doing a good impression of one .

ive not felt so bad since mike walker was manager.

I like the look of Saha and Rodwell, also consider we are losing by a large amount i did consider Pienaar has tried his best.

Overall, we were below average and we looked tired after 20 mins on so in the 1st half.

I don't know what to say but I am glad we are playing the Europa League in mid-week, meaning we don't have time to be depress for the whole week.

Looking on the bright side, last time we were beaten heavily by Arsenal in the first game of the season, we went on to finish 4th in that season!

But still I hate to see a big defeat like that!

Whatever is going on behind the scenes with lescott or whatever showed today.
No desire, commitment, energy, drive or urgency today and one of the worst displays i have ever seen.
Moysie will get it right obviousley without kenshites millions but it might be time to let lescott go if he does not want to play for us why make him.

It's going to be damn busy on here, and everyone has their thoughts on todays mess, I'm not agreeing that this opposition is the best in the league, they're not even the best in London.

Ok, 6-1, an embarrassment, lot of anger, Lescott this, Moyes that, but it's only one game the season is a marathon, not dependant on one fixture.

I think it's a freak result, this will not happen regularly thats for sure, Everton will I feel end up in a European place at the seasons end, not 4th place, but more likely just below or thereabouts.

Lots of people hurting now, just lick your wounds, and we'll be back.

Anybody watching match of the day tonight?

A poker up the arse!
Season's openers are usually oddities - gamblers always discount them (wish the league did) - the two things that worry me most on this one;
If any potential signings watched after being told how good we are
And this match showed some really bad management decisions - that's something we used to do! Maybe the backroom stuff is causing more grief than I thought.

Good to see Pienaar still wants to play, even if others are elsewhere.

totally gutless result.

.

Lescott knowing we all know he turned in his request for transfer played like a model pro. Pienaar had no help couldn't do it on his own. Saha looks fit so I am excited what he will bring to us. Gosling & Rodwell are already better in midfield than what we started with.

Osman flat and looked not fit. Hibbert not bad in defense terrible crossing the ball and passing it. Cahill & Felliani seemed out of position. Jo thinking backwards instead of forwards and attack the defender. Baines had the worst day in a blue uniform I hope this was a one off.

Poor Joseph Yobo it hurts me to say anything good about his performance today. He was exploited often.

From what I could infer, the first goal was a screamer but the next two were such bad defending that to call them schoolboy errors would be insulting to schoolboys. At that point, I can only say Barcelona would be worse opposition to have to chase a game against. Didn't see any of the game but I know how good Arsenal are when they've got their tails up. Not making any excuses just trying to look at the reality of the situation. I know how good we can be and I also know that on our bad days we are fcuking abysmal. One of the best teams in the world (yes they still are) caught us on a very bad day. We'll have better days. You all know it.
Having said all that, I have cracked the beer open and there's a bottle of whiskey in the cupboard that's not going to feel left out I can assure you

At the cup final I went to a pub here in Ottawa that was full of Everton fans, they told me they are there every game and I should come out.

Today I go there not a single one came and I got to sit in a pub full of Arsenal fans...good times.

All I can say is could be worse...could be raining.

All of my kopite mates are currently having a field day on Facebook at my expence..

*sigh* im officially depressed now.
