You're new here, aren't you?
Funnily enough, no. I was probably on GrandOldTeam in its first week many moons ago under a different account name.

I will be more angry if we get to the end of the window without a couple of additions, ie a striker and a right back.
Then, with all our players back, I think it would be easier to judge where we are.
In the league, we are points better than where we were, and without the absentees, I think we would be better.

You've spent the entire season saying Aznou is a bum and that Moyes has been right to not give him even a substitute appearance.

….i’ve spent all season saying I understand why he doesn’t get more game time. Moyes bringing him along nicely, his last U21 appearance was his best. Much improved.

Be interesting if the plan is still to send him on loan.

But if you use that logic to dictate expectations for every team, no one would improve because everyone would be progressing at the same pace. Promoted teams that do as well as Sunderland are few and far between and have no baring on our own expectations. We're midtable instead of worrying about relegation, that's acceptable progress by Moyes
...and yet one of his targets was a good cup run. We went out early with insipid performances both times.

So use his own targets to justify his performance. As good as things were last year things have been shocking and Dyche-levels or dare I even say it Benitez levels of poor this season.

What is it with us and penalty shootouts? That's six on the bounce we have lost now apparently, even managed to lose to woeful Southampton last season at home in the League cup not to mention QPR under Benitez. No replays anymore means we have virtually no hope of ever winning a trophy again.

Ball on the deck.

Joe Royle style football. All action mix it up, no fear.

Aznou, Armstrong & Dibling to get sigificant minutes every single game.

A team to be drilled with patterns of attacking play and defensive shape leading to counter attacking tactics.

In short, this season we should have been developing a significant amount for next season.

We have not developed any young players and we sit 12th.
I agree but it’s a bit different when your job is on the line, I think the loan has done Armstrong good and feel the rest of the season there would really make a difference playing every week. Either Moyes has knocked the stuffing out of Dibling or he’s right in what he’s seen in him so far not even close to good enough but again is that the tactics? Aznou done well and definitely had a point to prove can he perform as well at left back? Well I agree give him a chance and let’s see. I’ve said all along you know what you’re getting from Moyes and it’s not fluid exciting football.

Seems little point covering off the negatives….

I wasn’t confident today given how many players we have out but was interested to see how some did who haven’t really had a chance.

I am a Moyes fan but he’s got to use this season to get these lads more minutes. I thought Patterson did really well today.

Dibling showed glimpses but needs games and responsibility.

Armstrong kept going until the final whistle.

Aznou looks a very honest player and got involved. Welch and Campbell - best compliment is that they didn’t look out of place.

I thought that he might have started with Beto and Barry as a 2 today but when he brought them on we went long but they were not close to each other at all.

Im told KDH and Branthwaite back mid Feb so personally I’m just going to keep supporting the team and see where we are when we get everyone back but I would like to see more rotation and give these lads a go until then.

Mid Feb is yonks away

We were battling relegation a year ago and you want to sack the manager because you think we should be firmly in the European places.

Like I said. People who crave mediocrity making excuses.

If you don’t think we should be expecting to beat a team on course to be the worst PL team ever at home and a team that hasn’t won away in 7 games then sure. But don’t ever say you want us to aspire to anything more than being marginally better than scrapping relegation every year.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if we see Branthwaite starting before April

Not more game time, any game time. Prior to today he's had zero minutes. A good manager utilises his whole squad. Moyes is the bum. As a consequence he probably will send our only reserve left back out on loan. I'm sick of him.
