The season isn’t over, we can concentrate on the league now.

3 games in a week, a squad on its bare bones, 120 minutes and a shoot out … that’s draining.

The penalties were shocking, but taking everything into account, it’s amazing we even got to that stage.

We need a few players back, a few players out and couple of players in, and a couple of players need to step up and others an attitude adjustment.

As a club we can ever stand up and kick on or fall apart.

tbh, i haven't seen the pens, but all this stuttering run up stuff (slowing down and waiting for the keeper to move) should be outlawed. You've got a free shot at goal ffs, stop being a greedy tit and just hit it. The law should be, run as slow/fast as you want, but once you start you can't slow down. If you do, it's a free kick to the opposition for ungentlemanly conduct (being an underhand tit)

An awful week from which the team got what they deserved. After Forest away, the points total considered alongside the gaps in the squad and the misgivings we all have about player quality or the manager or the atmosphere or what ever made me think that things were better than expected. This has shifted now for me. Unlikely most people on here I dont think there is one specific thing to blame but I rekon maybe the last few tortuous years, a really mad summer transfer policy and a so far poor return from the summer signings has caught up. I take Everton far too seriously so I am going to dry January style do an Everton abstinence.

Well done to Sunderland. They came here to play football, and they looked very decent at times. Took their penalties well, too.
