Just got home, sat in the freezing cold on a Saturday morning to watch that s***. And I don’t care what anyone says it’s on the players. They don’t even seem bothered, they’re professional premier league players and they can’t even string a 5 yard pass together. F****** embarrassing.

Yes, players but also manager and the club.

Nobody comes out of this well. That team was sent out there by David Moyes today. That's his team. Until the manager - and his bosses - are held accountable, we'll see plenty more of this.

We need a swearing thread for days like this,
Just put a disclaimer in, over 18s Not safe for work, do not enter if easily offended,
Just so we can Raaage! and vent and call them everything under the sun.
Call it "The Purge" thread.
No comebacks for 3 hours after the match

is anyone shocked that the same players that have to turn around and pass it to their comfort blanket pickford at the sight of an opposition shirt are unable to strike a dead ball from 12 yards cleanly

I play in goals for my team. Not at any decent level, just Sunday league type of team. I have saved plenty of penalties. But if the penaly taker bangs it to either side and anywhere above waist height, I have never saved it. Not once.

How can any professional footballer not realise that you are almost 100% guaranteed to score if you do that?

Moyes is the complete overhaul you nini.

It takes time you cant just rip out the whole of the club staff and put in new ones and hope for the best. There has to be a transition period.

Weve been relegation fodder for near half a decade now moyes has come in got us safe and were no where near relegation and we are dark horses for Europe in less then a year.

Yes the last week has been frustrating but so is every manager. Let him put the foundations down and then we can bring in another manager to build on them.

But this idea that bin Moyes off and bring in a "progressive" manager and everything will be okay is insane. Look at west ham there getting relegated because they got rid of moyes for a progressive manager and they nearly got relegated before that because they got rid of moyes for a progressive manager untill moyes came back to save them.

It was getting a progressive manager that caused all this in the first place. Martinez, koeman, silva, lampard none of them could hack it. In fact the last progressive manager that we had that did well was moyes!

Imo moyes is here till his contract runs out maybe even longer. So id make my peace with it if i was you and while hes here theres no dount in my mind we'll improve year on year.

Moyes is the complete overhaul of the Moyes-Kenwright axis of mediocrity that has dominated this running of the club for the last 20 years? He is the culmination of it coming full circle, with fans once again starting to say that 12-17th is acceptable for a few seasons whilst other clubs progress and the traditional big 6 decline.

The overhaul of that system will be when we go and pick an attacking manager who doesn’t have repeated failures on their cv and back them to do it even if it means a period of adjustment.

That's why professional players should constantly practice hitting the top third of the goal for penalties.
