Are you actually endorsing one of the most destructive forms of fishing to get one over on Pete? Christ.

And he didn’t even manage that. I genuinely feel sad that a Democratic decision, with the highest ever vote total, is still after nearly 5 years being moaned about, even though we are now completely out of the EU. If Boris said it will be sunny tomorrow Remainers would take that as a personal sleight against their beloved EU and then prove that we had more sunny days while we were still a member......

Not truly democratic was it. Did it represent the will of the majority of the electorate. No and no.
Referendum was not thought through, but then it was only intended to be an advisory instrument.
Now if they had demanded the criteria that the tories placed on trades unions strike votes, wasn't it something like at least a 60/40 vote on a 70% turn-out, then perhaps remainers wouldn't be so discontented with the result.

Yes it was. Sufficient notice was given to all voters. And those who elected NOT to vote are classed as abstentions, which is the standard way of judging them, and is equally valid. Perhaps you are not up to speed on the three voting options: Yes; No; Abstain...

It really does beggar belief that some STILL try to twist things to their way of thinking, without actually being prepared to give credence to the actuality...

Of course it was democratic and 17.4Million voters voted for it. If remain had won by a single vote you would be demanding the vote was upheld.....

It is scary that even now, after such a simple question that the losers try to twist the understanding of the outcome. Anyway, however you wish to interpret the question or the result. We are out, we have left, we are no longer any part of the EU, we are a Sovereign nation again.......

So, in just over 24 hours, we've already saved something like £30,000,000 to £40,000,000 based our previous daily membership fee... what an obscene amount of money!!!

Finding the actual amount we have saved is difficult... and also, what quantified benefits it brings...! Just trust us, they say ;-)

All rather disconcerting...

Lorries at Dover whizzing through today.......over to the EU...... project fear over ...
Yes France may get awkward I am old enough to remember them burning English lambs on the border as they were superior quality meat before we joined the EEC in 1973 .......
I remember Ted heath just taking us in without a vote on a free trade policy - meltdown in the UK it settled down - we never ever voted on a political union - till 4 years ago .....
It may be bumpy, but in history it will settle down e are now an independent country free to trade worldwide, they will kick up if we thrive so let's hope we thrive .......let them form their EU army .........the cost of that we will not have to pay for .......
And we had to send all our saucepans to Mr Churchill to make Spitfires...I never saw a lemon till I was 14...they should send them all back...

Mr Churchill was dead in 1973 if you know your history......
I very much doubt Lord Beaverbrook was still manufacturing Spitfires in '73 anyway Joey, my post was taking the piss out of your 'all our yesterdays' comment. It read like something a dementia riddled grandmother might say from her nursing home, it had no relevance to the ongoing discussion.

You seem to have misunderstood Bob's lyrics. But then again, you also think that Brian Jones played on You Can't Always Get What You Want so it's understandable.

This is one of the most stupid posts I have ever read on this forum!

1. The times they are a-changin'? I lived through the times Dylan was writing about, so I know full well what they meant. They are equally applicable today, if you would but listen to them and understand.

2. If you read my post properly (which you obviously did not) you would know I did NOT say Brian Jones played on 'You can't always get what you want' in the 'Rock & Roll Circus' clip. He was out of his skull, and his fingers on the fretboard never moved.

What is understandable is that you haven't got a clue.

I would say 'try again' to you, but there really is no point...

Wrong, old timer. Jones wasn't even on the session. Neither was Charlie.
