I refer the honourable gentleman to my reply to Pete. I've moved on and suggest you do too. We have left the EU and can now revel in all the fruits Brexit has to offer, which I'm told will be plentiful.
My feelings too Bruce, but without the satire. It was a crass response to your earlier crass post, which in fairness showed no signs that you were prepared to move on.

I see we have banned ‘pulse fishing’ in U.K. waters from 11.00pm last night....:coffee:
Oh dear Johnson is playing catch up, you do really need to stop reading mail or express.

European Union. Article 31 of Council Regulation (EC) No. 850/98 covers unconventional fishing methods and states:

“The catching of marine organisms using methods incorporating the use of explosives, poisonous or stupefying substances or electric current shall be prohibited.”

The issue as EU found out is policing! Banning and stopping are very different matters.

Great news lads 8p off a packet of Tampons.

The sunlit uplands have arrived.

p.s. the only reason we couldn’t remove the 5% VAT was that it already existed BEFORE the EU mandated it. Ireland have never had it and still don’t. Oh and the EU have decide to abolish VAT on sanitary products from the start of 2022. Ironically partly because of U.K. lobbying before the Brexit vote.

Btw it seems to have escaped much publicity but despite being ‘completely ready’ at our ports for the brave new world. The vast majority of freight arriving in Dover wont be checked at all, as they’ve put the deadline for the correct customs paperwork back to July for the majority of goods types. So the queues will be on this side of the channel, which gives a few months for the Tory rags to blame the French for us becoming a 3rd party country by using our Sovereignty to leave the EU......they’re bullying us though yano.

incase you didnt notice I put a question mark after covid, which means I was making an enquiry not a statement as to where blame would land.

good enough explanation for you ?
Dealt with Pete the expert fisherman! Now an expert in the obtuse!

What has Covid got to with what joey and I were looking into legal wrangling and Tariffs, I wait with baited breathe?

If can't you explain suggest having me on ignore it will be better for all concerned.

However, the Eu also has exceptions to allow this practice, one exception being to Holland....but you knew that didn’t you....
