It's like claiming Mike Read's patois calypso travesty as a Remainer anthem.Relating this song to Brexit is the best thing to come out this thread.
I imagine he’s putting out his neighbours windows for ‘making a loud cup of coffee’Old Blue always delivers imo. I imagine he's laughing behind his computer rn and is about to say "don't make me laugh!"
My personal favourite Dylan song is 'Hurricane'. A protest song about a large rotating storm with high speed winds that forms over warm waters in tropical areas, that's wrongfully convicted of murder. It's like claiming Mike Read's patois calypso travesty as a Remainer anthem.
I did, and it's not really the same as we're a third country now. Within the EU the Dutch website would be registered in the Netherlands and therefore pay VAT on their sales in the Netherlands and the Netherlands alone. For UK sellers it's equally complicated.Did you read the replies in that twitter post Bruce ?
Apparently the EU are doing the same in 6 months https://www.avalara.com/vatlive/en/vat-news/eu-2021-e-commerce-vat-package.html and other countries are already doing it (Australia, Russia, Mexico etc)
Its to prevent tax avoidance scams
This is to stop wholesale vat fraud by overseas Chinese sellers - setting up a uk “ paper company “ ( no physical office just a uk postal address ) then selling to themselves at low value ) and barely paying vat
The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020. Under the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement, it will leave the EU VAT regime on 31 December 2020. This means UK sellers will be non-EU sellers at the same time as the introduction of the July 2021 e-commerce reforms. UK resident sellers will have to register in one of the EU states to file a ‘non-Union’ OSS return. UK sellers will still be able to close any EU VAT registrations if they are not holding stock in those states.
UK sellers selling to EU customers after 31 December 2020 will have to consider appointing a VAT fiscal representative in most of the EU countries where they are registered. Once the reforms pass into effect in July 2021, they may then register for the non-union OSS return.

We’ve copied and pasted the idea without thinking about the salient differences though...Did you read the replies in that twitter post Bruce ?

Blood on the Tracks is well known to be his album about our divorce from the EU. That's why he opened the album with "Tangled Up In Blue (passports)".I love "Blowing in the Wind", about a man whose car is in for repair, and is now wondering how many roads are on the journey to the Office for Male Certification. Luckily, his pal tells him that he saw a discarded road map outside with that exact information, but there's a gusty wind that's flinging it about the place
