This is one of the most stupid posts I have ever read on this forum!

1. The times they are a-changin'? I lived through the times Dylan was writing about, so I know full well what they meant. They are equally applicable today, if you would but listen to them and understand.

2. If you read my post properly (which you obviously did not) you would know I did NOT say Brian Jones played on 'You can't always get what you want' in the 'Rock & Roll Circus' clip. He was out of his skull, and his fingers on the fretboard never moved.

What is understandable is that you haven't got a clue.

I would say 'try again' to you, but there really is no point...
Bob clearly writing these words in support of all the gammons who voted for less immigration;

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
The battle outside ragin'
Will soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls…

And of course, Bob would be in favour of making it more difficult for young musicians to get work in other countries.

You may have lived through the 60s Grandad, but to misquote Blackadder, the 60s were clearly just something that happened to other people.

He's talking about change.

Is that simple enough for you. Probably not...

Jeez, some people seem to want to deliberately make a fool of themselves. Carry on.

Jones was in the 'Rock and roll circus' clip of them doing 'You can't always get what you want'.

Let's make it easy for you:

Come back when you actually know what you are talking about.

Just go away, stirrer...

He wasn't on the session Grandpop. Keef played all the guitars, and Mr Jimmy played drums as Charlie couldn't find the groove. It's on Let It Bleed, a great album. You're welcome.

Yes, thank you, I understand he's writing about change. The word change in the title was a clue. As I've previously said, you've clearly massively misunderstood the type of change he was writing about, if you think that posting the song supports your gammonesque views.

"The great game of signing up to policies at European Council meetings and then posing as defenders of British interests against the "unelected Brussels bureaucrats" who implement those policies was always popular with the rabid tabloid press. "

Lol. Come on mate, that song doesn't really apply here does it? If you think Bob would have strummed that at a gammon rally of 50+ year olds, I think you've probably missed the message

I very much doubt Lord Beaverbrook was still manufacturing Spitfires in '73 anyway Joey, my post was taking the piss out of your 'all our yesterdays' comment. It read like something a dementia riddled grandmother might say from her nursing home, it had no relevance to the ongoing discussion.
I doubt you fetching World War Two into the debate was of any relevance or dementia into the thread was that clever on your part anyway .....had any relevance .....

Did you read the replies in that twitter post Bruce ?

Apparently the EU are doing the same in 6 months https://www.avalara.com/vatlive/en/vat-news/eu-2021-e-commerce-vat-package.html and other countries are already doing it (Australia, Russia, Mexico etc)

Its to prevent tax avoidance scams
This is to stop wholesale vat fraud by overseas Chinese sellers - setting up a uk “ paper company “ ( no physical office just a uk postal address ) then selling to themselves at low value ) and barely paying vat

Not exactly sure he had the ERG 'taking back control' from the EU commission in mind when he wrote it.

And I'm aware he is literally talking about change, but it's not really intended to apply to any instance of change.
