I dont like him. I cant be conned. I never liked him as a player apart from his prowess in the air, and as a coach he did nothing.

If he wants the Everton job let him go elsewhere and earn it. If he did that, no problem.

How can you possibly know of his prowess as a coach?

You said Silva deserves loads of time for having that little spell of a few scalps at goodison. You said they were impressive victories and lumped Chelsea in. So if he does something similar over this December I’m sure you’ll feel the same way won’t you.

Rhetorical.com... but I enjoy a good matrix bullet dodge from the one that is Davek so feel free to answer.
He hasn't managed this team yet. A manager who has gets that leeway. Yesterdays win was all about a once only created atmosphere.

How do people not get that ^^^ ?

Yeah let’s judge Howe on one game v the Kopites. Every team loses against them.

In fact, we’ve bent over for the RS for years now.

Howe is a good manager, big Dunc is a bad idea.
Every season they scored at least 3 home and away against them.. he also on a run of 1 win in 10 an on the verge of the sack

He (Ferguosn) basically led Everton manager's to go long in the mid-to-late 90s, and Moyes picked up on the tactic when he arrived. In fact, Moyes put together a half decent football side at Preston. When he got here he looked at what he had in the squad and what the crowd seemingly wanted and handed it to them. Hooooof!

My dad has a Preston season ticket and his recollection is somewhat different.

You think he tactically out fought Chelsea

we had 30% possession and HAD to make 37 tackles.
Their keeper made a huge whopper which gifted us the win.. Had Kepa not done that we would of draw/lost that game. Was only a matter of time

The time line on a new manager shouldn’t change because of 1 win

The only way time affects our new manager is Poch.. Utd just beat City and the club are saying Ole will be their manager next year even if the finish outside the top 6
Of course it ‘shouldnt’ but Our board have panicked for fear of relegation when hiring before re:Allardyce and sacking Koeman. A big win in an old school Everton way with a club icon at the helm has 100% taken some pressure off the board now. Hopefully they can make a more reasoned decision. If it went poorly like under Unsworth *retches* we might panic and hit up old Davie on Kenwright speed dial.

I watched Moyes PNE come to GP in the cup and destroy us football-wise.

Just one game though, hey Dave.

Proves nothing.

On a serious note, I remember going with my dad once and seeing a young David Beckham score one of the free kicks that would become his trademark.

Lol Everton way???
That IS NOT the Everton way

That’s a stupid question, he managed 1 game which we won, based on pure passion and adrenaline and lots of luck

I dont want him as permanent manager, but Dave said he'd done nothing as a coach. I have no idea whether hes a good coach or not, so I wondered how he knew.
