2025/26 David Moyes

I don't know how anyone could defend keeping him for another year , he's completely checked out , we haven't won a game since March and it was against a woeful Chelsea. It was apparent that over the course of several games that Keane and Tarks doesn't work but instead of utilizing someone else at right back so O'Brien could be in the middle two he soldiers on , same lineup , no change in tactics

I honestly thought his time at West Ham changed him a bit, and I did think it was harsh he was forced out, but he's the most backwards, cowardly manager in the league. None of our young players have developed, presumably that was to get Europe, and we've now blown that too. In response to this we're going to give David Moyes a new contract, and likely sign a bunch of past their prime big 6 castoffs and players from his old club who will be on high wages and won't be sellable in a few seasons time. While we do that, Moyes will also persist in playing players out of the position they've played in their entire life, and we'll also play boring, one-note defensive football as well. If this was what the Friedkins were hoping for when they bought the club then I can think of better ways to burn a few hundred million pounds, but I assume they're happy to have a mediocre team while they use the stadium to launder more money to support the Trump presidency

Yes, 2 points behind the club who are apparently leaps and bounds ahead of us. Instead of being 1 point ahead, we’ve lost and now we’re behind. To a club that at the start of the season were newly promoted and after one full year, are officially ahead of us and will have a European competition to ensure their transfers are more ambitious than us again.

We are being left behind and some people are actively cheering for the teams that are leapfrogging us.
No look again. Sunderland are 9th. Only up to 8th will get Europe. Brentford at 8th, 3 points clear of us with a plus 5 better goal difference. We are not making 5 goals up on them in one game when we barely score more than one goal per game) so even if we beat Spurs away (which is doubtful) and I would rather Sunderland get Europe than Brentford. Does it mean we would not catch Sunderland? Yes, but I don’t think we catch them anyway as we never get a result at Spurs.

Got it wrong today. Felt similar to the Brentford game. We got off with a lot of last ditch last man saviour tackles where Sunderland could and should have punished us. 1-3 was a let off.

Early bookings aren't helping us either, nor is concentration going awol and everyone not bringing their scoring boots.

Another bad day at the office. Coleman didn't deserve to go out on that ship*show!

No agent is letting their player sign for when manager might go in 12 months

Plus can you give him 150 million to spend if hes off in 12 months

Its madness
Good point.

And how many players want to play this type of football?

I know wages are probably the biggest factor, but players do want to play in a side where they can express themselves.

I lived in Brentford and watched them a fair but in league 2, 1 and championship cos it was local, dirt cheap and i could only afford to get up to GP 4-5 times a season ( away games in London were more doable ).

It's hard not to be impressed by seeing how these smaller clubs are leapfrogging dinosaurs like Moyes.

They're braver, they're honest, they're owners are WAY ahead of the croneys who nearly relegated us.

Moyes had his day and should go with pride. He's not part of the answer to our awful football, he's contributing to it.
They also have modern recruitment teams that don’t sign bums like Barry and make you play a center half at right back all season
